The Golden Globes, and the vacuous, self important “celebrities” who pat themselves on the back each year. You’d think that after last year’s ceremony, in which host Ricky Gervais shoved his foot squarely and firmly up Hollywood’s ass, by telling said “celebrities” to stop lecturing ordinary people on the climate, and eulogising on their current chosen social issue, ending it with “Just collect your award and fuck off!”
But you’d be wrong. Now that Ricky no longer hosts this sickening display of wealth, privilege, arrogance, entitlement and stupidity, it’s business as usual. At this year’s awards, we were back to the usual bullshit. The lack of self awareness of these pricks is staggering. Two instances that put my hypocrisy meter in the red were the two, white, female hosts lecturing the foreign entertainment press on their lack of diversity. Really? Really, snow queens? You are two WHITE women. On Stage. Calling out other people for not being diverse enough? Fuck off.
Then we had the uber left wing traitor, Jane Fonda (still known by my American uncles and other Vietnam vets as ‘Hanoi Jane’ after her infamous trip to meet the North Vietnamese Army), lecturing Hollywood about ITS lack of diversity, whilst collecting the Cecil B DeMille award. Is this the same Hollywood that has actively gone out of its way to make its self MORE diverse than it actually needs to be? She would have had a lot more credibility had she stood there and said; “Y’know what? In view of what I’ve just said, I don’t feel I can accept this award, because I think it should go to a non-white actor”. But she didn’t. She accepted the award and fucked off. There’s no hypocrite like an old hypocrite.
If ISIS sent two dozen homicide bombers into that place and blew all these morons to shit, the rest of the world would not give a single fuck. The world would not care. The world would carry on as usual. They are completely out of touch with the rest of planet Earth. And they’re a bunch of cunts for it.
