There’s been a tantrum about an actor being cast to play a deaf man….because he isn’t deaf. ‘The Stand’, a series written by Stephen King, has a deaf character which was given to a non-deaf actor Cue meltdown, anger, threats of boycotting.

This seems to be the latest fuckwittery from woke Hollywood. Another nail in the coffin for meritocracy.

Frankly, one of the funniest experiences I’ve had was when I was forced to endure a bird I was trying to conquer, playing ‘wife of Cratchit’ in an am-dram version of A Christmas Carol. Tiny Tim came hobbling in on his crutches, sat on a big chair, then spent the next ten minutes swinging his legs and waving at his family. It was ace.

Will you have to have had experience killing somebody to play James Bond? What about playing a soldier or lasering aliens in space? Will they soon insist that only gerbil-smugglers can be cast as homós?

An esoteric little literary cunting for, yet again, the BBC. They are currently repeating a programme on 4 Extra, first broadcast in 2015, called “Mr and Mrs Nobody”

Which is, stripped of its camouflage, a straight dramatisation of “The Diary of a Nobody” by George and Weedon Grossmith. In which Carrie, the waspish and rather unpleasant wife of the hero, Pooter, plays a minor role in the book, but has to be played by Judy fucking Dench in the broadcast. (subcunting – a spectacular bit of miscasting. The Pooters are as common as muck )

What I am cunting is the feminazi requirement that a well-known and much-enjoyed Victorian comic novel must have the authors’ title, which has defined it for over a century, bowdlerised in case some woke cunt notices it is not really about the wimminz.

I should like to nominate butlers for a cunting. I have never met an honest one; they are a bunch of self-serving, drunken blighters who invariably work against their long-suffering employers rather than for them.

The latest transgression by my current butler (Arnold Shittern) is the wearing of a hazmat suit while going about his butlering duties and claiming it a necessary precaution against Covid-19.

You can imagine the impression created when visitors call. Despite being told repeatedly not to, he continues with this abomination, even when he’s out picking up odds and ends from the local food bank.

Obviously this has its advantages – no one dares question his appropriation of all the champagne, oysters or caviar for instance – but I really detest being served afternoon tea by an urban spaceman and having half of it spilled in my lap by the incompetent blaggard.

Not only that, I hear from cook that during his aforementioned trips to the food bank, instead of obtaining supplies of the common groceries necessary for concocting meals for those Below Stairs, he is, after obtaining the important Upstairs items, loading the rest of the dog cart with crates of brown ale for his own consumption.

You really couldn’t make it up.
