Congratulations to TheBestRevengeIsLivingWell for correctly predicting the American rapper DMX would be next to snuff it. DMX (real name Earl Simmons) was 50 and recently suffered a heart attack following a drug overdose leaving him in a vegetative state. He was know for songs such as (Party) Up in here and others but that is the only one I recognized when googling him. He was very popular though from researching him. He leaves behind 15 kids!

Rules

1) Pick 5 famous cunts you think will conk out next. It is first come first served. You can always be a cunt and steal other cunters’ nominations from previous pools.

2) Anyone who nominates the world’s oldest man or woman is a cunt and will be ignored.

3) It must be a famous cunt we have heard of.

4) If your pick has already been taken, tough titty. Pick someone else because we can’t be arsed to check.

5) New Rule: Nominations can only be changed if some cunt has beaten you to it and your nomination is invalidated. Otherwise, stick with your five until the next round.

  28. I would say this nomination broke rule 3 of Deadpool – it must be a famous cunt we’ve heard of.

    Just as well the cunt expired when he did with 15 kids.

    • Bertie, the problem with rule 3 is who exactly does “we” refer to.
      Until I looked him up when the nom was posted I’d no idea who DMX was or what his claim to fame was but then I’m getting on a bit and have no interest in (c)rappers and the poop they try to pass off as music.
      However, not all ISAC posters are getting to OAP status so it was possible some of the younger contributors might have known who he was but haven’t a Scooby Doo about some of the 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s actors, musicians etc us oldies nominate.
      ACWCC who posted this new DP said in their intro that they recognised one of Simmons’ hits so does that count as “we”?
      There is also the question of our overseas contributers. Some of their noms may be a bit obscure to us in the UK but are big TV stars, famous politicians etc in their homeland. Likewise they’ll be clueless on some big name UK soap stars, newsreaders, etc. Therefore, do we discriminate against overseas noms under rule 3 just because they’re Johnny Foreigners and not well known (if at all) in the UK? We shouldn’t.
      We can’t get to the stage where we end up having a vote (with a majority winner) to decide if someone is deemed famous enough. That decision has to be left with those good people who administer the DP.
      I’m sure in the past the term “newsworthy” or something similar was used to describe if someone was famous enough to be counted as an eligible DP candidate. However, the term “newsworthy” has its own limitations e.g. the death of Ms X, 90 year old former mayoress of St Austell in 1950, 1956, 1963, 1968 & 1972 after whom the local Lido is named might be newsworthy in Cornwall but nowhere else.
      As long as a DP candidate is someone who has appeared in national or international newspaper stories I think anyone is fair game. If a nom appears who you don’t know simply look ’em up on the internet. It’s what I do. Edukashunul it is.

      • I hadn’t heard of him but was familiar with his music when I googled him.He was very famous and his death was trending above Phil the Greek at one point today.If I or whoever resets the pool we open ourselves up to accusations of bias.It is a minefield.

      • As soon as I heard Party Up (Up in here) I knew it. Banging tune back in the day, still is. Didn’t know it was him though, but still.
