First off, mental health is a serious thing and can affect all of us at some point.

However, I’m noticing a recent trend for sports people deciding to quit when the going gets tough.

Imagine being an Olympic selector? You choose the athletes carefully. There will be calls made to those that didn’t quite make it. There will be tears. Perhaps some real mental health issues as athletes miss out on their dreams, despite a life of sacrifice?

Those are not calls I would want to make.

Imagine then, in a team competition at the Olympics, one of your athletes does not do well (not terribly, just not so well) in their first event (with others to follow in a much needed points hunt).

And then quits. It’s too much. Mental elf innit? She’s got to think about herself, not everyone else (more or less what was said here).

Now, if she was genuinely losing it to the point she was totally unable to perform, then fair enough.

I’m just getting the vibe that people nowadays are becoming so soft that a bit of pressure and they walk away.

Fucking quitting? In the Olympics early on in a team event? Fuck off!

And they get praise for doing this shit, by the way. Maybe why they do it?

Imagine if Sir Bobby Moore, back in ’66 said during the final, “I’m too young to be taking this pressure Boss, please substitute me now.”

Bloody heck! Just wouldn’t happen, would it? And he wouldn’t have been deemed brave either, even if we’d won in the end!

Being a great sportsperson is not just about ability. Or even what you’ve won in the past. It’s about showing bottle when the chips are down. Remember Ben Stokes knowing one tiny mistake and the Ashes series was lost? The cunt had to survive alone with the last choice batsman (a bowler) for hours and score heavily. Against the best bowling attack in the world. That was fucking bottle. We had no fucking hope it seemed, but belief and strong will pulled off a sporting miracle.

Playing the mental health card when things aren’t going your way. Particularly, as recently seen in sport.

I know this is a sensitive issue for some, so let me explain why it boils my piss. Two years ago I popped round to see a cousin of mine, only to find him hanging from the loft hatch. He’d been dead for a day or two. He left a lengthy note explaining his reasons. Reasons far more important than not playing tennis very well or not being in the medals at the Olympics.

People like Simone Biles and Naomi Osaka play the mental health card and get all the plaudits for being brave and coming out, but these things never occur when they are winning.

Maybe I’m just a cynical old bastard, but it just seems to be a cover all phrase to mask a bad day at the office. We all do jobs that get us down and they can lead to serious issues. If that’s the case, most people re assess and get out, try something different.

It just seems to me that if they can’t get glory for winning, they try to get glory for being “brave”. Crying wolf is not going to help the poor fuckers with real problems in the long term.

The Irish have been patting themselves on the back again for being the first country to allow transgender people to legally change their sex on a whim, even getting new birth certificates in the process. An 18 year old piece of excrement named Barbie Kardashian has been using these new rights.

Barbie was born a boy. He named himself after his favourite tv star. In 2012, when he was 10, Barbie violently attacked his mother. He was taken into care but continued to hatch detailed plans to get at his mother in order to injure or kill her. His mother had to flee to another part of Ireland to escape him.

Whilst in care he continued to prey on female members of staff and was found with a list of females he wanted to attack. When he was 17 he brutally attacked a female care worker who was driving him somewhere. He gouged her eyes, tearing her eyelids in the process, and refused to release her whilst biting and tearing clumps of hair and scalp from her head.

Barbie expressed regret at this attack- regret that he had not killed the care worker. He said it had been a pleasure to hear her scream. He spent a few months in detention for this. He was also found not to be mentally ill !!

Here’s the catch. Barbie identifies as female under Ireland’s woke sex change laws. After he was released into the community residents were warned he/she/it was dangerous – but described him as a “teenage girl”. This thing looks nothing like a girl. It looks like a male freak in clown makeup.

The thing from Limerick is now facing trial on four counts of threatening harm to women. It’s currently remanded in the female section of Limerick Jail. If convicted, it will serve its sentence with women – a sex he so obviously respects and admires. It’s going to be like Christmas Day for him.

These are the same laws the “progressive” minority want for this country. When woke fuckstickery gets in the way of common sense this is the result.

In a statement this morning, the protest group Animal Rebellion says it is “prepared to stay as long as needed to cause massive disruption to McDonald’s supply chain and encourage works and supporters to join them in their occupation”.

The group says more than 50 protestors have set up a blockade using trucks, tents, bamboo structures and a roof occupation to stop the facility from distributing burgers. It is demanding that McDonald’s switches to a fully plant-based menu by 2025.’

I recently saw a reference to a bizarre-sounding outfit called the Revolutionary Cells – Animal Liberation Brigade (RCALB) and checked it out. To my astonishment I found dozens of similar animal rights groups with odd names. My favorite was the Lobster Liberation Front which has attacked fishermen´s catches in Dorset and Stranraer in Scotland.

This got me thinking about the classic Life of Brian sketch on the various Palestinian liberation organizations with ludicrous names.

It would probably be impossible to list all the “liberation fronts” that are or have been but here are a couple. Remember the National Front for the Liberation of South Vietnam, better know as the Vietcong? It was actually an army backed by North Vietnam, China and Russia but pretended it was a popular guerrilla force made up of poor peasants and patriots.

The Farabundo Marti Liberation Front consisted of five leftist guerrilla groups and fought in El Salvador. It eventually dismantled itself when a kind of democracy was formed.

The National Front in England has got nowhere while the National Front in France has fielded presidential candidates and is still a major player.

Ongoing prominent national liberation fronts include the Moro Liberation Front (Philippines), Tigray People´s Liberation Front, (Ethiopia), Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front and the Dick Fiddler National Liberation Front for the Eradication of Virtually Everything Except Fray Bentos Pies and Gemma Arterton´s Knickers (DFNLFEVEEFBPGAK).
