Because he had been trying to get fellow hacks to go easy on his big brother, Andrew Cuomo, the Democrat ex-governor of New York state, a fellow hypocrite with wandering hand problems who “resigned” after at least 11 women complained about his fondling and groping activities.

I know a lot of members of this site claim to be civil libertarians and will argue against me here.

But I want to put to you all a simple scenario.

You have a vulnerable relative with an underlying medical condition. They can not be vaccinated. Your view is that whether or not to be jabbed is a matter of personal freedom and that anyone who decides not to be should be allowed to go about their lawful business unimpeded. The only trouble is that many of these non-vaxers are tradesmen or carers who may have to enter the home of your vulnerable relative. One who does is a carrier and your loved one is infected by this person. Sadly, they get very ill and then die.

What is your reaction? Are you content that this anti-vaxer preserved their civil liberty even though it cost of your relative? Is that a fair exchange?

I don’t want to hear smokescreen arguments such that the vaccine doesn’t protect everyone or that workers who enter care homes have to pass a flow test.

If someone turns up at your granny’s house she won’t ask them to take a test. What about her freedom FROM being infected by a deadly disease? Anti-vaxers only ever talk about freedoms TO do something. It is just about them with no regard for anyone else. Most have not suffered the loss of loved ones.

No, I don’t advocate people being held down while they are injected. If they won’t participate in the vaccination programme then that’s OK but they will have to accept that their life will be more limited for the sake of the community as a whole. Other countries are making this choice and are being compared with the Nazis. This is a ridiculous argument. The Nazis introduced programmes to kill millions of innocent people, modern governments are doing it to save millions, exactly the opposite reason.

Let’s not get side-tracked by civil liberties. We’ve heard it all before with drink driving, smoking, seat belts et al. All were opposed by the self appointed freedom warriors. What about my simple example of a loved one?

The British or at least the English used to love their tea but increasingly the letter T is disappearing from our spoken language.

How many ads or voice overs do we get on tv now which talk of “nin’ee nine pea” and the like?

It was irritating enough when working class white boys started imitating Detroit or Chicago street talk but now it is everywhere.

I was listening to university (or should that be univers’i’ee) students and they were all missin’ Ts from words such as “commun’i’ee”. As well as peppering their sentences with totally unnecessary “likes”. These are supposed to be the future elite.

As well as removing Ts modern talk adds Rs where they don’t belong for example “arksk” instead of “ask” as in “I am arksking you a question.”

To which my response is “Well I’m not answering until you ask it properly and not like some pretend American gangsta.”

These people know that T exists because they (constantly) exclaim “init”. So why don’t they use it to pronounce words properly? Cos they is fick or summin’?

Where are the Eye-Ranians getting their uranium? Our friends the Rooskies of course who are making a tidy profit out of it. Our friends the Froggies are in there naturally wishing to flog fleets of aircraft (prohibited by current sanctions buggaire) and are on hand to provide nuclear weapons technology to the Ayatollah Ali.

Naturally all this gear deep underground beneath mountains so Ayatollahs trying their luck and proposing a new deal because the sanctions are biting hard and the world wide situation means much decreased demand for their oil.

All this much the same as Saddam Hussein in nearby Eye-Rack and his threat of WMDs but it looks like the current sweethearts actually have them so COBRA meetings, SAS exercises, international diplomacy and Israeli nukes all pointed at Ayatollah Ali. Nobody too sure what Old Bugger Biden is up to or whether to wake up the POTUS.
