I feel like I’m the only one concerned about this. Replacing our national heroes with wildlife. Everyone glosses over it and laughs but it hints at something more sinister. Why couldn’t we have had both national heroes and animals? There’s plenty of space. Why not include heroes from ethnic backgrounds if that is the issue? And yes, there are some impressive individuals that are overlooked.
Interesting that the UK seems to be the only country that is doing this…
