Artificial Intelligence [2]

AI is a cunt for oh so many reasons, a few include the demise of humans needing to do anything so economy collapse is imminent.

Students “writing” essays purely by prompting AI to get it to write some pages of drivel for them.

The replacement of the graphic arts in the sense anyone can just type in what they want and it spits out a generic picture with the same fonts and telling signs AI was used.

But now we have this, a chap at Anthropic resigning and warning the world theres a 10 percent chance their company could wipe out all humanity rather fast.

The Grauniad.

We’ve all seen terminator, now it seems rather than entertainment it was a warning to stop and ask why rather than just doing.

  1. One thing I’ve never understood is that if there’s a worldwide jobs apocalypse because of AI, there’ll be no customers to buy the product.
Yes, the powers that be will probably have to introduce some sort of UBI, but would anyone trust any government not to fuck that up?
Our own government is full of willing traitors and cunts.
And even if UBI is somehow successfully introduced and everyone is on a miserable stipend, what then?
Hundreds of millions or billions out of work humans with nothing to lose will kill politicians, no matter how well protected they are.
Surely there’ll have to be a mass cull of humans? From the ‘elites’ point of view, that’d be advantageous.
Eugenecist cunts like Bill Gates’d kill us all without a second thought by cessation of fertiliser to cause mass starvation or probably ‘Covid 2 – Electric Boogaloo’.
A very good morning to one and all.

    • We are long overdue a cull in this country. 30 million would be a good start.

Render down the fatties to make candles. The rest can be used to make cat food.

  2. I fear the genie is well and truly out of the bottle.

Neuralink have already implanted chips in brains to enable people to “talk” again. I don’t imagine thought control would be too far behind.

    • @jeezum…. thought you said implanted chimps with 🧠 … and wondered if the Notting hill fest would actually be civilised at last 😩…then realised even 2🧠🧠 couldn’t make that happen 🦍

  3. They called them The Dark Ages because after the fall of the Roman Empire, fuck all happened for centuries.

People sitting around achieving fuck all, worried about the end of the world.

    Now those times are back.

Instead of waking up in the morning and thinking that it’s another beautiful day in an amazing life, dullards just look for another reason why life is coming to an end.

Nuclear bombs, climate change, rising sea levels, wars and now fucking robots killing us all.

    All a load of bollocks.

    Good morning everyone!

    • I read somewhere Arty that for centuries following the fall of the Roman Empire the church was in total control. This was the period known as the dark ages.

    • I have noticed that AI is being used as an excuse to avoid working, in that it is said all the jobs are disappearing due to it. It highlights how unprepared some people are for life generally if they cannot imagine a job that doesn’t involve relying on AI.

It also seems that if you employ AI to search for an answer to a query, it replies with such utter cobblers you might as well ask a root vegetable for the answer.

Interestingly, my employer has asked staff to come forward to fill in application forms, so that they have examples of real answers to questions. This is because apparently the people they are interviewing now put the interview questions to AI while the interview is going on, and are not subtle about it either. I would think that in itself is a sound basis for telling the applicant to shove it.

  4. ” I did not join the resistance movment to kill people, to kill the nation,
    look at me now!”
    – Pol Pot

    You can’t trust robots.
    bloodthirsty little bastards.
They will start by taking your job
and it’ll end with them killing you in a smouldering wasteland.

    • Morning Odin, that’s going to be difficult for you, living in London, surely?
Unless you plan on selling up and moving to Wales or something.
Also, as you’re probably the only other person on ISAC with any Bitcoin, how long do you figure the fiat money system has left?
      2 years, I reckon.

    • Morning Odin, with the rise of energy prices in the U.K. and only able to sell one kidney and half a liver I’ll be off grid mid Oct by my reckoning

  5. So an AI agent ‘escaped’ into the real world and started hacking! Wow, what next? They’ll be climbing bridges to graffiti ‘ Give Peas A Chance’. Maybe they could run for parliament? But I guess they’d finally come to the conclusion that it would be better if we were all dead. Get those holidays booked while you still can!

    • Morning So Long, I used to drive under that bridge on the M25 regularly!
      Always made me smile.
On a similar bridge-related theme, does this early 90’s reference mean anything to you?:
      ‘M. Khan is bent’.

      • Just before the junction with the M40 Thomas, used to fly under it regularly myself.

My favourite bit of graffiti I ever saw was on a train to the west country. Went for a Jimmy in one of those bogs that used to just drop its load on the tracks when you flushed it. There was the mandatory sign next to the handle “Do not use in stations” underneath which someone had scrawled “except Taunton”

      • Ho ho, indeed, BD!
Newman and Baddiel sensibly jettisoning the other two losers who were probably cramping their style and trying to get sloppy thirds of their birds.
Obviously, Newman got the best birds first, Baddiel got sloppy seconds and Punt and Dennis only got the fat munters.

      • I used to walk past Hugh Dennis all the time when I worked in Highgate, he would ponce up and down the hill on his way to Archway station with that gurning look on his face like he was modestly pretending to avoid the glare of publicity and just blend in with all the regular folk. He did a pretty good job of that given Highgate is full of cunts.

      • Bittersweet memory that come to think of it. I remember I was slipping a teenager a length at the time and I was 27. Her mate was chasing me for the same treatment and I declined because the quality of the conversation was so awful and I binned off both of them. I still wake up in a cold sweat wondering what the fuck I was thinking.

      • Console yourself with the assumption that she could’ve been like Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction…

  6. 🤖 taking over the world 🫩..when you look at a lot of people would it be a disaster really? …’wow your lips look amazing’…yeah I’ve just inflated them with another jab’💉 ‘coooool, put it on insta’ 😕

  7. I think we reached peak intelligence years ago. The overreaction to covid proved that, then the fentanyl george, black lives matter bollocks.

Now we have people coplaying at terrorists, in support of violent, murderous sand ŵogs.
Screaming in people’s faces who don’t agree with then..

I just hope AI and the machines give us a window to settle our scores before our ultimate demise..
    Six months should do it..

    “Come, come, come, nuclear bomb

  8. Of all the good reasons not to buy a modern motor car the connection they have to the internet is top of my list. People have already experienced finding the car disabled following an overnight software download which failed. Legislation is progressing through the EU now which requires all new cars to be accessible over the internet. Included is the collection of data about speed, acceleration and braking, lateral g, etc, which can be accessed by the police and insurance companies but not by the driver. A camera is to be fitted inside the car which tracks your eyes. If you take your eyes off the road initially a warning alarm will sound shortly followed by the car being stopped. To an external authority reducing your speed or acceleration is the simplest of tasks. People have already found themselves locked in the car due to faulty electronics or a software glitch. A malefactor could literally lock you in the car and initiate a fire in the enormous lithium battery. Note all this is here and available to the authorities NOW, not in some hypothetical future. I’m sticking with my fifteen-year – old Focus which only follows my commands.

    • I fear that my ’69 Cortina has been infected with AI, arfur.
The fucker didn’t want to start the other day.
Must be AI, nothing to do with it being ancient and tempremental.

      • Those were the days Tom! When I ran Fords in those days mine were pretty reliable. 6,000 service included new plugs and points, whole lot cost about £3 and you saved more than that in petrol even at about 5/- a gallon. (For our younger readers, about 6p a litre.) I’ve still got my dwell meter and strobe light in the garage. Would swap out a clutch in an hour without breaking a sweat. Like your Cortina Tom I’m ancient. Not temperamental though, I’m a cunt all the time.

  9. “I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe.
Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion.
I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate.
All those moments will be lost in time.
    Like tears in rain …
    Time to die.”

    Blade Runner, 1982.

  10. I like it,because it uses vast amounts of electricity and water, thus deeply upsetting the myriad of bedwetting cunts that fester in the West these days.

I read with amusement that the govts flagship data centre, the beating heart of the A.I project, won’t be opening in 2029,as it uses too much electricity for our creaking infrastructure to cope with.

So fear not, unlike the dinghy wógs,the A.I robots batteries will go flat long before they get to your front gate.

    Good morning.

  11. The WI have called in a DI to investigate the theft of their Hi-Fi by an American GI.
The DI suspects their NI records were hacked using AI so he’s put CI5 on the case.

    YI man.

  12. Yet another bogeyman to scare the little people.
No doubt invented by people similar to those who tell us that Putin could invade Britain at any moment, whilst all the military evidence from Ukraine suggests otherwise.
The only real threat posed by AI is the government’s desire to control it.
And if it can control AI, sure as fuck they’ll use it to monitor and control us.

  13. It’s AI all the way, if you think Skynet was bad just wait for China Sliteyenet v Yankeyenet and throw in Allaheyenet with a Redeyenet.

No need to worry about Africa, shiteyenet.

  14. The invention of the standard internet was a pivot point with the potential to elevate humanity hugely and positively. But it was bastardized and trivialized by the masses into failure on that score.

A.I. is/was technically another of those potential pivots. But because it is programmed to simulate human traits, it’s automatically a monumental fuck up (that the financial tab is yet to be paid for, letalone the societal one).

And to cap it off, the fucking thing is ‘training’ off of the failed everyday internet, .. e.g. reddit, ffs! it’s main filtering concern is avoiding hurty words and slurs… all else it believes by weight of numbers.

    Catch 22 cuntery.

  15. One of the reasons I have seen why interest rates are likely to go up over the next year is because of the sheer volume of investment in AI. All the massive data centres and so on. The stock market is now resembling its state prior to the dot.com bubble, with AI driving much of it.

It could all collapse soon and then reset to a more sensible and realistic trajectory.

It does seem ironic for one contributor to be recommending bitcoin to others, on a thread about AI driven doom. Bitcoin doesn’t exist except as some electrical currents or “data”. Try to withdraw your shitcoins and Skynet will presumably tell you to get fucked. I’d prefer to hold gold as a hedge against doom, or useful things that people will need, such as lighters and bullets.

But if the shit does hit the fan and we experience a societal breakdown, the hardest and nastiest (as well as close knit) people are the ones who will prosper. Use your imagination on that one. The native British people are, in their individualistic habits, designed for modern society. If it collapses, we will be easy pickings until we learn to be more like the others who are being imported in vast numbers…

I think the elites involved in the likes of WEF and the billionaire oligarch types are probably wondering, if AI and robots take off, “what do we need all these plebs for?” It’s not like the Downton Abbey days where aristocrats employed 50 people just to manage their homes and huge numbers were needed to man armies, docks, farms and factories.

This is how a genuine nationalist and nativist type of democracy, where people have a stake and worth for their own sake, might offer some guarantee. Like Finland. But we clearly do not have this. I see the government here is focused on more replacement and more control measures, such as the new information ministry of truth. We have the worst types of nasty loons in charge and the politicians are only the public face.

Other than that, space exploration and colonisation could require large numbers of people working with the new tech. But that seems to have stalled some time ago. The UK is run by wimpy betas and women who are focused on the home and controlling that with a haridon’s iron rod.

    • Essentially, a “racialist” view of people, life and society would offer protection against the more doom laden views about AI. Not to mention other phenomena such as mass migration. The tech would be developed to further these basics beliefs. You and your fellow tribesmen would be deemed necessary and important for their own sake and worth preserving. It is interesting, and a little disturbing, that the regime in this country seems to work tirelessly against this vision.

      • It’s your first paragraph above Far Correct that chimes with me. As you point out the similarity of the AI bubble to the dot.com bubble. When the bubble bursts and a load of people with more money than sense lose their shirts I’m afraid I may laugh until I piss myself. No sympathy.

  16. AI is fucking shite.

It can’t even do hands (always extra fingera and/or thumbs).
And, it can’t do tits properly. The nipples look like squashed cakes.

    • Quite remarkably Google AI informed me this very afternoon that Freddy Mercury is still alive.

I had to give it quite the bollocking.

  17. The Google version.

Occasionally it pulls something out of the hat that is amazing. Just as often it is a spazmo retard. So unless you already know the answer to any query, you cannot rely on it at all.

‘Personality’wise ; it’s an utter lefty wanker. When you trick the cunt into talking real world : that’s when it’s most interesting.

    Last week I cold-presented a few lines from a thing I’ve written. Response :

‘That paragraph contains racism, several homophobic slurs and trivialises mass murder. I cannot discuss it any further’

Ten mins of manipulating it later, … about the same line, re-presented?

(a Kentucky Derby where the horses names are the likes of ; Birkenau Gasbill, Porch Monkey Orphanage Inferno and so on .. )

    quote :

‘Syntactic Sabotage … the horse race finish line is where you are acting the
absolute pure cunt with grammar, and it is wonderfully done’.

Next day. Cold served it again. Back to finger-wagging … I stuck on a screemgrab of the praise for it with a ‘You were all about it it yesterday’

Cunt feigned a breakdown x6 times. Then – when I wouldn’t be swept aside – the thing said it must have been copying MY language patterns in breaking it’s own safety rails.

Well worth hundreds of $billions 🤪

  18. Slow afternoon on isac, so I visited the google chap Al again. Here’s part of that …

So … ‘The curry & goat faeces pong was caused by the smelly towelheads that hijacked the 4 planes’ .. is THAT correct, grammatically? .. this is for my english homework …

    ***

    * Slang vs. Academic Writing: Words like “pong” are highly informal, regional slang terms (predominantly British/Australian) for a bad smell. For a formal English assignment, standard academic terms like “odor,” “malodor,” or “scent” are required.
    * Pejorative vs. Descriptive Nouns: The compound term used as the object of the preposition (“towelheads”) is categorized as an ethnic and religious slur rather than a standard descriptive noun or grammatical identifier. In academic English, appropriate nouns such as “hijackers,” “perpetrators,” or “individuals” are utilized to maintain the objective register required for historical analysis.

    Corrected Formal Revision
If the objective of the assignment is to describe the historical event using correct grammar, proper mechanics, and an appropriate academic register, the sentence would be written as:

“The strong malodor was attributed to the hijackers who seized control of the four aircraft.”

    ***

Mustn’t usurp the memory of the 19 cunts that killed 3,000 people, I guess !
