*** STOP PRESS…BONUS CUNTING…2 MORE TO FOLLOW LATER TODAY ***
I find nature fascinating, but a total solar eclipse is commonplace and in my opinion, quite boring.
They occur regularly, twice a year is normal and they have happened up to 5 times in a year.
If you are determined to see them and don’t mind travelling to remote areas then you will see a total eclipse more often than a Christmas dinner.
The phenomenon that I have found interesting in the past is that the birds stop singing for the minute or so of the eclipse and the dogs stop barking.
Interesting, but not so much as to make me go out of my way to experience it.
Our closest big city is Valencia which is right in the path of totality.
However, the eclipse will happen just before sunset and people have been advised to travel to nearby Castellón where there is a clearer, unobstructed view, with no tall buildings.
For the past week we have been given dire warnings.
Don’t look directly into the sun.
I don’t think that it’s possible for anyone to look directly into the sun.
Your reflex reaction would be to look away, to shut your eyes or at least shade them.
Nobody can possibly sit looking into the sun directly.
You don’t need to warn anyone not to hold their hand in a fire.
Even the most stupid of people have a reflex, self preservation mechanism.
So the warning is daft and unnecessary.
But some fucking cunt has decided that all the overhead motorway signs are changed today.
Instead of warning about broken down vehicles, nearby roadworks, danger of wildfires or traffic speed cameras ahead, all the signs are telling us not to drive while wearing eclipse glasses.
For fuck’s sake!
Total solar eclipses are a load of astral wank.

I found the stories of people in the UK queuing for hours to buy solar eclipse glasses hilarious, as the effect of the eclipse here was, for the most part, negligible.
If I’d been asked to pay to see it I’d have wanted a refund.
There really is one born every minute.

It reminds me of the “Year 2000” internet meltdown that never happened but lots of companies mad lots of money by curing a problem that never happened.

Just in case you missed this once in a lifetime event, there will be another, and apparently better one around the same time next year.
The best place to see it will be Egypt.

It was a damp squib in my part of London, it went slightly duller about 7.15 pm, then fuck all.

If I wanted to witness anything, I wouldn’t want all those annoying cunts hanging around.

I once went out with a bird who was like a solar eclipse.
I couldn’t bear looking at her and she didn’t hang around for long.

For those of you that missed it..
Here in all its glory..

I’m surprised it wasn’t pay per view.
Labour missed a trick there.
I enjoyed it,
Death to the sun!!!

The solar eclipse was a metaphor for this country..
One minute, bright, light and happy. Next a ball of darkness, cancelling it all out..
And my wallet got stolen..

The coverage on the TV was almost as much fun as the helicopter coverage of the police raid on Sir Cliff Richards mansion.
I am not a druid so an eclipse is of no interest whatsoever.
A festival of cunts.
Good morning.

Just the moon shagging the sun. Letting you know how long it should last for.

It was a bit shit.
At least in Iceland apparently one of the best places to see it with people booking up hotel rooms two years in advance, the weather was overcast and drizzling so that cheered me up a bit.
Eclipse related but not really I saw that hundreds of mongs lined the streets singing ‘Total Eclipse of the Heart for Bonnie Tyler’s funeral.
