        Taking the knee is a group decision and I dont agree with it. But the idea that the old school heroes like Moore and Charlton wouldn’t do it if Sir Alf had ordered them to is naive. I know it’s different times, different culture. But the principle remains the same.

    1. The knee taking started with Colin Kaperniek as a protest against ‘institutional racism’. He did it during the national anthem (USA), which really pissed a lot of people off. Other chippy fuckers got on that bandwagon too. CK, whose career was dying on its arse, got some much needed and sweet sponsorship deals with sportswear companies off the back of it all.

    Bottom line. He made cash. So did the sportswear giants (think who buys trendy trainers/caps!). People did not like seeing the national anthem being disrespected.

    2. The knee taking started again in earnest after Chiggun George croaked. It involved men scaring white women into taking the knee ‘for BLM’. People saw this and did not like it. One fucking bit. Then riots, murder looting etc. Next, the footballers jumped on the BLM bandwagon. They had their logo on every fucking shirt at one point instead of players’ names. We all know what BLM are, and no matter what these idiots say, knee taking is symbolic of BLM and the Kaperneick nonsense. Always will be.

    They can’t backtrack now, after putting BLM’s logo all over the stands, on the TV screen (logos) and on the fucking shirts. They (media and players) linked Floyd’s death to racism when there has never been any suggestion, even by the prosecution at Chauvin’s trial, that this was the case. Chauvin’s wife was Asian. Racism was not the cause of Floyd’s death.

    This is called education, lads.

    3. The players have said they will ignore the fans. Well, expect a backlash when, like Rio Ferdinand earlier today, you say fans need ‘educating’ rather than just ‘punishment’ (just who the fuck do they think they are wanting people punished for a different opinion?!).
