Amran Hussain, 40, of French Street, Westerham, appeared at Maidstone Crown Court after previously admitting fraud offences that cost taxpayers almost £170,000.
Investigators at the NHS Counter Fraud Authority (NHSCFA) found Hussain had applied for 2,071 NHS roles.
They said a recurring pattern emerged in which he would take up a role before going off sick and remaining absent until his contract ended or his employment was terminated.
The NHSCFA said this meant he frequently carried out little or no work and did not gain the experience later cited in applications.

The only thing in his favour is that at least he didn’t try to pass himself off as a medical professional.
He seems to have concentrated on senior management roles, and as he did little or no actual work, at least the damage he caused was minimal.

What the NHS needs is proper training for white applicants.
But for all eager, white applicants any training would be pointless when they are constantly overlooked in favour of blacks and Asians, due to diversity targets.

It isn’t your NHS and it occurs to me that it hasn’t been for some considerable time.
The NHS is there to serve immigrants and the indigenous population can get to the back of the line.
It is administered by people who have to fill out a detailed questionnaire if they have the audacity to offer employment to someone that is white, over a less qualified applicant who isn’t.

Over the years I’ve seen numerous examples of folks trying it on in job applications. It’s when the line is crossed from constructing your CV to showing you in the best light to straightforward lies. A stand-out example was when a man applied for a field service position at my old company. This was in London and one applicant was a little brown guy. He claimed to be HP certified and to have the required experience. We found that the immigration department had him on a list of people who were not supposed to be in the country and that HP had never heard of him. His driving licence was described by the DVLA as a work of fiction. When confronted he didn’t turn a hair. His attitude was “Oh well, that one failed, on to the next one”.

I guess they have a couple of hundred different IT systems that don’t talk to each other. My mum had to go into A and E once, and they had no idea she’d been in the same hospital the day before!
