Dear me. Where to start with this one?
In December last year, a gang of what I can assume to be spooks by their names, (I can find no photographic evidence, unsurprisingly) decided to rob passengers of their suitcases at Heathrow Airport.
Cue heroic old bill who apprehended the villains and hit them with the full force of the law by charging them with….affray.
What? Are we now charging armed robbers with crime that carries a maximum sentence of 3 years?
So it seems.
And it gets better.
The press only picked up on this story after guilt had been established and were allowed to report on a pre-sentencing hearing.
Which can only mean the villains will be begging for, and getting no doubt, a lighter sentence.
