There are loads of people like Arday in the higher education system. He only came to light because his behaviour was so ridiculous that people were willing to call it out. Plus it is Cambridge. He went through several universities picking up degrees and work, despite being totally unqualified. Had he been less OTT, he would have gone on, as a professor, to eventual retirement. Wasting the time and money of students, stealing opportunities from those more deserving, and just generally being a fraudulent waste of oxygen. There are many people in academia doing the exact same thing. The system has been badly corrupted by DEI and printed money. You will never hear about them.
