We were stood in his garden having a coffee at 7.30 in the morning and in hushed tones he said “I’m not racist, but I can see why people are angry”. Fuck me, its not racist to not want to see little girls stabbed to death or raped or to see your communities turned into shitholes and become an ethnic minority in your own country.
You don’t need to supress your own speech, thoughts, expressions and opinions. The police and government will do that for you. How about we start using ‘if you find this racist I don’t care’.

Label someone as a pedophile and they will not be as upset as being called racist.
I don’t think that many people are truly racist anyway.
There can’t be a lot of people that have a pathological hatred of an entire race.
Instead of thinking of people as racist, perhaps it’s better to consider that they are resentful, and with good cause.
If you decide that by your own standards that someone should be called racist, then you immediately win any argument with them.

One of my greatest pleasures at work is changing the minds of young people, who are, understandably, horrified by my stream of racist invective.

“Racism”, used in the controlling sense you refer to, is part of the leftist lexicon, which is intended to manipulate what people think and say. It is often used to shut people up and shut them down, often by nasty, self interested, and/or stupid people.
People are terrified to the point of being silenced in case one of these words is uttered towards them. I reject this tyranny and I use or ignore the words as I see fit.
For example, I can logically conclude that racism is a good thing because, in the scientific sense, it refers to the study and identification of differences between ethnicities. e.g. which ethnicity is more likely to develop skin cancer and which prostate cancer, and why. And schizophrenia, lower/higher IQs, propensity to be violent or criminal, and a million other variables. This important, factual information can be used to direct effective pattern recognition, public policy and individual decision making.
What is wrong with that? Is it not preferable to be orientated towards facts and reality, rather than fictions and fantasies?
I can observe that people usually prefer to live amongst those of the same ethnicity and culture as themselves. This is easily observable in our own towns and cities. People generally prefer people who are like them. That this might be inconvenient to idealists and idiots is neither here nor there.
I prefer to live amongst white Christians, because that is what I am and it makes life feel safer, easier and more enjoyable for me. I don’t care if some cretin thinks that is tantamount to their idea of “racism”. It’s how it is and they only object when it involves white people anyway, so who is the “racist” really?
The best answer to be given when accused of one -ism or another is to simply say: “I don’t care what you think.” Short, sharp and dismissive.

That is a fair point, AD. The motivation for calling a person racist is often aggressive or, at best, very mean spirited. There are also potential repercussions, especially for those of us with careers and young families to provide for. In this nuthouse country, you can even be visited by the police and worse… so perhaps our response ought to be more aggressive and punishing than I implied. I was more thinking about to get it straight in our own minds first. Many people, even if their instincts are sound, don’t necessarily know how to articulate that. Growing up in Manchester, the war just ended. Even though penniless it was fun. Then seeing a black for the first time was a surprise in my early teens due to being fully clothed and not normally naked I previously saw on television being aggressive in Africa. What gets me is that we are expected to hold two opposite ideas in our minds at the same time.
1) It is racist (meaning “evil” in their parlance) to notice ethnicity or make any judgements on this basis.
2) Black lives matter and black history month, which involve a movement and event that celebrate people and their identity, specifically based on their race. These are officially sanctioned by the state and promoted by the media and corporate world.
So, race doesn’t matter and race does matter…
So even the fucking idiots overseeing this demented regime, and their mad, failed multicultural experiment, admit that race does matter.
Of course, it does matter. It matters to most people in the world today and always has. Identity is fundamental to the human condition. People begin with themselves, their immediate families, offspring, friends and neighbours, and before things become too diffuse and meaningless, their nation. Assuming that nation reflects their racial and cultural background.
This is basic to all people of all types. United Arab Emirates..? That is an ethno-state by name and definition. Not controversial at all. Why would it be?
And so it all follows that it is a basic matter of survival that a person should care about their race and seek to promote it. They don’t have to be against the others, but a healthy outlook would suggest that they should at least be in favour of their own, i.e. themselves. Particularly, as is plainly obvious, because some members of other races can be hostile for the simple reason that you are ethnically different to them. I blame the US for a lot of this. A geographically well endowed, new country that never evolved in the normal way, based on a specific people.
