The government is looking into the mental health issue almost 2 million eligible for work people are currently claiming benefits and unable to work which is also causing a back log on mental health services.
You know who I blame?

Yes I am going to call out Maggie on this one, my mother used to work at a local Loony bin, she was one of the OT staff there, then the “Human rights bill” came in and well it became against their human rights to work and it all stopped.
So to give you an understanding mental health hospitals ran almost tangent to prison service facilitates, in the fact inmates receive pocket money and paid work, they also had subsidised shops.
so the pay of say £3.00 a week would buy a couple of packs of fags and coffee ect.
Any way with the “Human rights bill” manufacture in these establishments, that helped fund them closed.
The units became a tax burden and were closed (like convalescent homes, wonder why the NHS has bed blocking?) the properties sold and “Care in the community” was rolled out.
so lets fast forward to now.
if you pretend, or duplicate any mental health issue you get to stay at home, the threat of the loony bin no longer exists.
The men in the white coats will not be taking you away (they were made redundant) you can sit at home and get enhanced pay-outs for doing so.
So Mr hilter sort of pushed things with his final solution, but fuck me Loony bins were a major deterrent and probably would have stemmed the mental health crisis we now face.

      I ended up in a local nick as a witness a while ago, gone are the days of the sweeny and a 20 pack of embassy on the table, its non smoking all the way.
      after suffering nicotine depravation for a couple of hours they caved to my request and I was escorted through the building to a corner of the car park where I chain smoked 3 fags before going back in.
      It was like being at school, only the teacher was standing over me when I smoked.

    Lad I grew up with got sectioned and locked away for his own safety after being found wandering down the middle of a motorway at two in the morning.

    Thinking about it, if some of my other mates had been sectioned for their own safety, they would probably still be here.

    • When I was a kid, we had a neighbour who was universally known as Raymond the Tramp. A large dishevelled man who kept himself to himself and as far as I know, never did anyone any harm. An elderly neighbour told us he had lost his mind after coming home from work one day and finding his beloved mother dead in the bath. He would roar at us kids if we made too much noise near his house, but that was all. There was a convent near by and the nuns would help him out with food and clothing. I miss the harmless British kind of oddballs we used to have.

  7. My brother-in-law’s ex has spent her entire adult life swinging the lead.

    ‘Worked’ for rNHS. Bad back, mental health, long covid, you name it she’s had it, usually weeks or even months at a time. The lazy, sponging bitch retired recently and all her ailments mysteriously disappeared. What a fucking surprise.

    The old mental asylums kept the general public safe from dangerous lunatics, but it is cheaper to let them roam free. The hope is that they take their medication, stay away from the ubiquitous illegal drugs and alcohol, and avoid becoming Islamic fundamentalists. That’s a lot of hurdles to overcome in this increasingly third world shithole.

    In addition to the cost is the liberal/socialist dogma, which holds that we are all of equal worth and that rights/freedoms trump all other considerations, including personal responsibility and public safety.

    Without any qualifications in psychology, people only had to take one look at that Welsh Choir Boy to recognise immediately that he is a deranged nutter. Either that, or a different species altogether. Then it massacres a load of innocent children and everybody is asking, “duh, how dat happen?” Because the government is too broke, liberal and retarded to have stuck it in a loony bin years ago or, better still, removed it from the gene pool completely. The UK is an open borders, open-air lunatic asylum and general free-for-all.

    There are many things we can’t go on with, and one of them is carrying millions of mentally ill wasters. Especially the subhuman vintage that are only ever moments from carrying out a stabbing outrage. Look at all of the highest profile knife rampages from the past two years in England. Every innocent victim is white, and every single culprit is something else, and usually diagnosed afterwards as having mental health issues. Obviously, black on black knifings are also common, although the victims of those tend to be combatants rather than random, innocent people as far as I am aware.

    We are not all equal. Some people are a waste of oxygen and resources, and a pain in the arse to everybody else. Either permanently incarcerate them before they hurt civilized people, or use other methods to remove them. The latter would cost less.

    And let’s cut off all state benefits to those who don’t produce anything, regardless of the reasons. I would like to opt out of supporting them. All the virtue signalling idiots can voluntarily support them if they wish.

    • Spot on AS, my conditions mean I have much experience of our struggling mental health system and have formed the following opinions. Paranoid schizophrenic not taking their meds and minimal supervision an extremely dangerous person. Smoking weed triggers mental illness in many users, one of the reasons that a large number of black men started having delusional episodes and acting like a schizophrenic in the late 80’s ( the time when stronger variety’s of weed became available). Expecting very mentally ill persons to live on their own with often no worthwhile support especially if schizophrenic, stress being a recognised trigger to mental health episodes. The closure of asylums and other places of treatment and restraint means that dangerous persons slip through the very tattered net and kill or injure people. I know of people right now that 40 years ago would be in secure accommodation, living in supported accomodation come and go as the fancy takes them, no one appears to check they are taking their meds, visited once a week by social worker or nurse if lucky. A fucking time bomb waiting. Hide the sharps lads and lasses

  17. There are the light weight mental, the ones who get anxiety because they have to get up in the morning to arrive at work on time, it’s fucking stressful!

    Then there are the dangerous loons who for some reason are deemed to be safe to be let out if they take the meds (example, Calocane the Nottingham cunt)
    ‘If they take the meds’, well fuck me that’s a Russian roulette waiting to happen, one day they decide not to take the meds and bingo, another poor fucker ends up dead. KEEP THE LOCKED UP!

    Back to ones who get stressed having to get up on time 5 days a week, simple solution stop the benefits and see how fast the alarm clock is no longer an issue.

  18. I remember thatcher stealing milk from the kids and releasing the nutters. The children couldn’t fight back, but the mentally ill were dangerous.     • Anything “community” always seems to be a pointless bag of shite that is a drain on others. One local hospital in Bristol had a free bus operating and no one was using it. Word got around about this and one useless cunt I happen to know told me proudly he is keeping it going by just going round on the thing all day.       The film Against the Ice was pretty good if you don’t mind snow and ice, based on the Danish 1909 expedition to prove that Greenland is an island and the USA had no arctic claim.

  25. I worked in a care home for full on raspberries for a while and i can tell you the money they splurge on them is fucking eye watering.
    We had one particular bloke who had amassed 18 K in his bank account and the management were always finding useless things to buy with it
