I have heard that the TA barracks close to where I live is being considered for housing illegal immigrants.
Also, I know I’ve read about another ( still in use ) Army barracks being considered for the same purpose.
If repurposed for temporary housing while their asylum claims are processed, they will be free to come and go as they wish.
So, no change other than the accommodation will be more basic and we will helpfully allow even larger groups of fighting age young men to congregate in one place.

I did find it very odd that closing the hotel in Epping (as per the first court injunction) would be the end of the world, where would the 130 odd residents go, this at the time when hundreds if not thousands were crossing the channel.
It seems that there is a never ending supply of accommodation, a fresh batch of 2000 arrives over a couple of days, then another and another, where do they go.
