Dead Pool [365]

Congratulations to Paul Maskinback who has won Dead Ppool 364 by picking the veteran British Actor Gerald Harper who has died aged 96.He was best known for his roles in Adam the Adamant and Hadleigh and also enjoyed a successful film and stage career.Often cast as a suave lady killer he proved it wasnt all an act after starting a relationship in the early 2000s with the actress Sarah Alexander who was over 40 years his junior.

    • Are you Miserable in disguise? If not, expect accusations of “pikeyism” to follow when he finds out all his previous / regular noms have been nicked😁. If he’s got a job on today I pity the poor sod whose stuff he’ll be moving. Hope it isn’t fragile.

      • Nah. Just thought i would stick it up him. He has been getting a bit uppity lately.

RIP Gerald I thought he was great in Adam Adamant. As they said in the DT today it compared Edwardian values with those of the 1960s and not very favourably, imagine if they compared it with now.

  16. On the subject of the recently departed, I see the griefjackiing over that Liverpool FC player has started in earnest.

Entire front pages of newspapers dedicated to him. ‘Death of a Champion’ one tabloid gushed in big fuck off letters. A bit over the top, that.

Even Oasis got in on the act, by putting him on the screens at their Cardiff gig.
As Man City fans, what’s that about? And, don’t say it’s class, because they haven’t got any.

Sad for LFC fans , but there are those of them who revel in this sort of thing.
But the rest of the country making out the lad was Pele, Cruyff and Beckenbauer combined is ridiculous.
