Have you heard about the strange, not to say alarming, case of one Linzi Smith? If not, allow me to elaborate.

Linzi is a die-hard Noocassel fan who’s been banned from attending Magpies’ games, for the ‘crime’ of expressing views that don’t align with current gender orthodoxy. She has posted online of her belief in the reality of biological sex, making comments such as ‘here’s your daily reminder that transwomen are men’.

As a result of stating such an heretical opinion, Linzi has been told by NUFC that her presence at St James’s Park is no longer welcome. Now you might think that this was bad enough, but on appealing the decision, the club responded by presenting documents which included a report on Linzi by the so-called ‘Stadium Stasi’ aka the Premier League’s ‘Intelligence Unit’. This featured a mass of personal detail which had been collected by them. It transpired that she’d also been referred to the scuffers, although they concluded that she’d done nothing wrong.

Now hold up. Just what the fuck is going on here? This woman isn’t some violent yobbo with a record of trouble-making at matches. What business is it of NUFC if she has an opinion on the transgender issue? And just who, and what, is this PL unit, to go about invading her privacy? How many other people might this jumped up petty Gestapo currently be treating in the same way?

People used to tell me that this was a free country. This would be worthy of a Monty Python sketch- ‘nobody expects the PL Intelligence Unit!’- if the implications weren’t so sinister. Seems to me that the rozzers are to investigate anybody, it should be the activities of these cunts.

Altogether now. ‘Shite and you know it, you’re just shite and you know it’.

  4. It’s kind of interesting that clubs still allow abusive chanting just so long as it doesn’t reflect the current woke targets such as black people, trans, and all the usual victims the woke are protecting.

    But it will only be a matter of time before any form of chanting will be banned for fear of offence either to certain groups, players, referees, anyone!

    The EPL want to take the game to the next level. They ‘re already trying to remove the grubby working classes out of the equation. They want the middle classes to venture forth and become the new type of fan with plenty of disposable cash and are very woke, kind and understanding to others.

    As for this particular case: it would be interesting if fans starting chanting anti-sematic songs. Would the club ban them? Or what if some fans starting waving Palestinian flags at the ground. Will they be banned also?

    Newcastle FC, want to distance themselves from anti-woke elements because that’s what most big corporations are doing – playing the narrative game for fear of being criticised and cancelled. But the real hypocrisy belongs with some of the owners of these clubs, some of whom are from the Middle East and probably take a very dim view of Israel, Trans and the Alphabets. And yet no one takes them to task about this form of discrimination.

    • They have already made a fuss about the Tottenham fans’ beloved and rather jolly anthem ‘Being a Yid’, however they have backed off for the moment. I suppose it is a bit difficult to enforce a ban when thousands of supporters choose to defy it.

  29. In a free society people are entitled to have views that others may consider abhorrent. Ms. Smith’s views are totally mainstream, so this sham of an investigation strongly suggests that freedom of speech in the Premier League is bestowed only on those who have left-wing, politically correct, woke opinions. I suspect this is a massive breach of human rights, article 8, which is where privacy law is derived. If she could afford a decent barrister there’s no way this ban would stand up in court. If Newcastle FC is a company and the fans are its customers, no way do they have the power to investigate said customers. What next? British Gas turning customers power off because they agree with jk Rowling? Insanity. Thank heaven for the Free Speech Union.
