Her Majesty’s Cunstabulary

Welcome to Policing in 21st Century Britain…….

The police no longer respond to reports of shoplifting (too minor) ….
They comfort and assist Extinction Rebellion protesters blocking motorways & gluing themselves to the tarmac …
If you report a home burglary, they might come and see within a few days…
If you get murdered, they may possibly investigate ?
If you are a mixed race LGBTQZ couple and someone has posted a ‘tweet’ that hurt your feelings – we’ll be straight round….

Darrell Meekcom is dying ( aren’t we all? ) but Darrell is Terminally ill.
He made a bucket list and one of his wishes was to moon at a speed camera. He got the opportunity and seized it, baring his bottom….

20 minutes later, 3 police cars screeched up to his home and 6 police officers wrestled the over-weight 55 year old white man to the ground.

Am I alone in suspecting that a similarly aged efnik would have received a quiet word in his shell like ?

…need I say more ?

(I suppose when the incident was called in, the first question plod asked before getting off their fat arses was “Is he white or black?” followed by “Is he middle class or pleb?” And this is the result – Day Admin)

  1. I remember the Mclibel case; a husband and wife protesting outside the British HQ of McDonalds in London and three riot vans turned up.

    The rot started years ago.

  2. The Police have treated me so very fairly over the years.

A few years ago, (10 maybe), I was ‘testing’ my old AJS after an exhaust valve replacement, I got pulled over after doing probably over 60mph in a 40 limit.
I apologised, and told them I couldn’t see them because I have no mirrors fitted, (as they told me they had been following me for some time).
No action was taken, just go steady and on your way, or similar.

Maybe 15 ish years ago, I was on my old Sumbeam motorbike, (which had a terrible habit of blowing rear bulbs), when I was pulled over in the dark because of no rear light. A oldish copper stepped out and informed me of the light situation and asked where I had been.
“ I said I’d been for a ride round and to a few pubs”, he asked me how much I’d had to drink, and I told him the truth, – “five pints”, I said.
He never asked my name, but asked where I lived, which was less than a mile away. “I’ll follow you home, to make sure your ok” he said.
The kind chap did no more than sit behind me until I peeled off up my driveway.
What a nice gentleman, I thought.

Rather boring anacdotes I know, but they are illustrative of the common sense and fairness held by some coppers. I have more stories,- but I won’t bore you with any more.

Has policing really gone completely and utterly down the shitter in the last 10 years? I doubt it.

Is Policing as good as it was 50 years ago?
    Definitely not.

Have we got more idiotic public and scum in the country than we have ever had? Certainly.

      • I got pulled earlier this year with no seat belt on.

I quickly put it on hoping for the best.

“I think you know why we have pulled you over”

“Yes, no seat belt” I replied.

“Honesty is the best policy”, the wench copper said.
“You’re the most cheerful person we’ve pulled over all day, put it on or next time it will be £100 fine”

        On my way again.

I never wear my seat belt, – I’m very naughty. Never saw a seat belt in a car until the 60’s.

People act like dicks and it gets the coppers backs up, – it would me too.

And I hate fucking liars. The place is full of them.

      • “People act like dicks and it gets the coppers backs up, – it would me too.”

Ah, but it wouldn’t provide you with tales of (probably imaginary) derring-do where you ‘Stuck it to The Man’ on Social Media. Your attitude does you credit, Sir.

      • I couldn’t do your job for all the tea in China DCI.

I take my hat off to you,- I really do.

I think if a came across an abusive patient I would want to pack my stuff up and get back in the van.

The last thing you need on the job is ungrateful arseholes, – it’s difficult enough as it is I imagine.

        And I would have nightmares.

I’ve seen blood and guts spewed twice,- and that’s been more than enough for me.

And a motorcyclist dead without an apparent mark on his body. Hit a post, he was still curled at the base of it. I can still recall his face and beard over 50 years later.

If someone ‘on the edge’ passed away under my care, I’d be constantly thinking, what could I have done better.

It would play on my mind.

  3. So this is what it’s come to…squabbling with strangers.

    I’m out….

(Again this Post has been derailed, and again I’ve had to go through it deleting some comments veering towards personal attacks. But typically its the same old subject matter, and in some instances the same old antagonists.

We have been down this road before over the last 18 months with nominations ending up as shitshows, and it really must stop.

There is a dedicated link for Covid debate, and from what I see in our Post queue, there are 2 or 3 unique Covid-related nominations scheduled to go live soon. But if we’re going to see a repeat of what went on in this Post and related Posts in the past, then neither will see the light of day.

Heated debate, short of personal attacks, is good. We all have to be a bit thick-skinned and count to 10 at times. But please don’t take nominations off-topic as it is really unfair on the author of the nom, who has probably had to wait days or even weeks to see his Post finally published. It is also unfair on those who just want to comment on that particular topic.

Hopefully JR, and other cunters who feel miffed and have walked, will reflect, reconsider and subsequently return to this site. You will be missed!

And please, no more personal attacks! Thanks. – Day Admin)

  4. I was in the middle lane of a really busy roundabout when a cop came alongside SCREAMING at me to stop, I said ok I’ll take the next exit and pull over, They said no STOP STOP STOP NOW…so I calmly said NO its too dangerous to stop here..HE WENT PURPLE and i took next exit and then stopped…When I’m driving I am responsible for the safety of my passengers not the cops and that’s the law. They dragged me out of the car and threw me onto the grass verge on my back,,60plus lady.., all because my reg was showing up no insurance…fucking ridiculous as i was fully insured and proved it as i’d printed off my policy acceptance.. NO apology of course. Treated like a fucking murderer because their police computer is crap..Fuck Cops I’d never help them ever.
