Just like Gulf War Syndrome, Yuppie Flu, Whiplash and Lower Back Pain before it, the newly-emerging Longimus Covidicus is certain to become a malingerer’s charter for years.

It’s perfect: no clinical definition, no clear symptoms, no physical symptoms to prove or disprove. Get yourself a walking stick, mope about (when anyone is watching) as if you have shit yourself, stay off work for a few days and practise talking in a whining ‘survivor of domestic abuse’ victim voice.

Won’t really matter whether you have actually had full-fat Covid in the first place (as no-one will be able to prove otherwise) but it is a nailed-on cert that legions of skinny scrounging addicts, jobless losers and thousands of fat cunts on benefits will be the worst affected. (Oh, and of course these new vermin, the Social Media Influencers, where it will quickly become as trendy as ‘Mental Health Issues’ and ‘Anxiety Levels’).

First wave of shambling, broken, desperate ‘survivors’ have already started shuffling across the news bulletins. Malingering Cunts the lot of them.

        Jesus H fucking Christ. I am currently sat on the truck at ED with a pre-alert that should be in resus. As are some others. No-one can off load so we can’t get back on the road. Every ambulance bay is taken. There are trucks queuing down the fucking ramp. Truck queued for eight fucking hours a couple of days ago. Oh, another truck’s turned up. ED is rammed. Leicester Infirmary had 32 ambulances queuing the other day, filmed. But don’t worry, fuck-all is going on as folk with fuck-all experience have spoken. Nothing to see. Move along. All those ambulances and people are cardboard cut-outs. All lies and conspiracy. Oops, another not real cardboard ambulance has just turned up with nowhere to go.

        ‘Bone-idleness’??? Seems the lobotomy department have been busy, lately.

        Long covid? Might be real for those with long standing medical issues I guess, but there will be those who take the piss and try to get more time off sick.

        Considering this government’s incredible incompetence, I would be amazed if even 50% of people who want to be vaccinated will have had access to such before the summer’s over.

  10. The economy will be enjoying long covid for years to come, anyway. I doubt a few extra benefit scroungers will make much difference, and there are easier ways of ripping off the system than pretending to be sick.

    There are recognisable symptoms, btw, and it is a thing. Also recovery from hospital-grade covid can take months. I don’t support this cunting, and I have one or two weird minor symptoms which started after a mild viral infection – undiagnosed – in February. Long Covid is entirely credible IMO.

  23. Well the “Gulf war syndrome” bit pissed me off, quite a bit .
    Now back in the day when we were poping NAPS tablets, we did not quite understand the science, but they blocked our nerve receptors, The idea was that by shielding them they were protecting us.
    Unfortunately, no one knew that some stupid yank twat was going to blow up an ammo dump containing chemical shells after the cease fire so our depleted nerve receptors received a bit of a bash.
    I was quite ill when I got back, never made a thing of it, head aches and insomnia for a long time.
    Who knows what the dusting of depleted uranium will do to us in the future.
    As for long Covid, well it would seem that it is not just a “flu” the side effects of the infection can in some case include severe organ damage.
    So if we take a “legal” view of it, the victim did not die of the gunshot but associated trauma from the gun shot, it was not the gunshot that killed them but the secondary’s, In a court of law that would still be murder.
    So unfortunately long Covid does and will exist.
    What I do not dispute is that certain people will milk this to the full, unfortunately society permits this.
    All in in all a shit shod cunting in my opinion.

  25. I’m still trying to determine wether or not we have actually got the bastard.
    The Mrs tested positive at the care home where she works and we’ve both had symptoms much like a “head cold” with hot and cold sweats, mild fever, slight aching limbs but no cough. These symptoms are fading quite rapidly now.
    Funny thing was, we both had the same thing, if perhaps a bit worse, around this time last year before all the lockdown stuff kicked off.
    Not ashamed to admit that I really don’t have a fucking clue but going to play it safe anyway (we’re both 57).
    I will add however that I totally understand the utter distrust of authority displayed by many on here…

  26. I recently saw a clip of a Sky “news” reporter doing a live broadcast claiming the ambulance service was at breaking point – in front of a bay of parked up ambulances. (I think the irony escaped her somewhat).
    I have seen evidence of people all over England filming empty hospitals, and these people are being arrested.
    I have made a freedom of information act requesting to know how many NHS frontline staff are currently furloughed, the amount of coronavirus patients currently hospitalised in England and how many Nightingale hospitals have been dismantled and removed.
    I am baffled how overwhelmed frontline staff have the time to perform TikTok dance routines in obviously empty facilities.
    I am baffled why infection rates instead of hospital inpatient admissions are pushed.
    There are people on Twitter claiming to work for the NHS who are posting that the service is at breaking point, but not a single one has responded to my questions – if there was evidence there to disprove what I am claiming then surely they would present it?
    I simply do not believe there is a pandemic, and all the evidence I have seen and obtained from people with no agenda or reason to lie – no “dog in the fight” as it were – bears this out.
    Something smells rotten, and you won’t get the truth from the idiot lantern.

    • In North Yorkshire the numbers are relatively low, if you believe the stats but not so in the south east, again if you believe the stats.
      Videos of empty corridors mean absolutely nothing, parts of hospitals may well be empty because staff have been diverted to Covid wards.
      The idiot lantern may have a political bias but it’s more reliable than the unregulated sources for accuracy.

      • They went up and down the entire empty hospitals (I specifically asked them to do this to prove it was not just some areas which were deserted) – no patients. Not just in North Yorkshire, all around England, and the evidence is all there for any who doubt its legitimacy.
        The METADATA which is a permanent record of times, dates and places all stacks up – these are legitimate films and the police have no legal right to arrest citizens filming in public access facilities – but they still do it.
        Nightingale hospitals unused, abandoned and in some cases dismantled and removed – the physical evidence of their absence is right there, or not, as it were.
        The overwhelming evidence is there.
        There is no pandemic, and we are being lied to.

  27. Empty ambulances are waiting for crews to start. Or are spare trucks. We have staggered start times so there’s always trucks empty. Or was she standing in front of them at ED? I’ll film you an empty corridor, at a hospital later on. Right next to a rammed Majors dept and overflowing ambulance bays. There’s always empty areas. Proves absolutely nothing.

    • Yes absolutely right, I put a comment (I know we ain’t supposed to) on a nom about a woman being arrested for videoing in a hospital.
      I had to go to Leeds General one morning at 7 am, I went through completely empty corridors, didn’t see a soul until I got to the ward.

        There’s no way she could have carried out that much filming without being approached by security. It didn’t surprise me she is a Labour activist and friend of Piers Corbyn.

      • When I was in Leeds General I didn’t see any security, I accessed the wing via a side door (I was told about it by staff because it always open), it saved me having to go through the main entrance and a very long walk to the wing, I could have easily taken a video on my phone but I also knew from the info I was sent that filming in hospital is only allowed with permission unless it’s specifically on your own treatment.

  30. I have worked in data sensitive environments and nobody – especially staff – are allowed to film.
    So either the NHS staff are filming illegally in a data sensitive area which is grounds for gross misconduct, or the people exposing the truth by filming are not acting illegally – it can’t be both.
    Just a side issue – how many people last year died of preventable and treatable conditions which the NHS have not treated them for?
    And if there is is a coronavirus pandemic why are Nightingale hospitals which were specifically built for coronavirus patients unused, being dismantled and in some cases removed?
    Why are the overall death rates equal to or lower than previous years if we are in the midst of a pandemic?
    Don’t wish to sound like I am baiting anyone because I am not and I have the utmost respect for DCI, but the facts just don’t support the narrative.
