Haven’t been back since April 2013, anything I want from there I can get through the post, without the enriching, diverse experience of being stuck on the tube, or tramping along miles of dirty, cracked pavements…
The English borders, or Scottie Highlands seem very appealing.

At the risk of sounding tendentious, I think London is ace, by far the best city in which I’ve lived or to which I’ve travelled. It’s not perfect but it’s better than anywhere, overall.
Yesterday I was in Hyde Park for a festival which The Cure headlined. The organisation was great, as was the public transport, the weather and the delicious food before and afterwards.
