It’s a bit like the bureaucratic farce of VAR in football. The neverending march of the managerial elite, trampling over all areas of life and even engaging in time travel when it suits them.
A player storms his way through the other side’s defence and scores a crucial goal, the crowd goes wild… STOP! Some tedious nerds in a room somewhere will now forensically analyse every filmed microsecond to find out if that wonderful bit of sport and joy must be disallowed. Turns out the goal was fine but, as they decided to work their way back through the lead up to the goal, they noticed that one of the players nudged another around 15 yards away…
I wonder to what extent it is useless dorks wanting to “muscle in” to a domain they are usually, and rightly, barred from? By intellecualising it and making a science of the rules and their interpretation.
And so it is with these war heroes. They have been in far worse situations than the football example above. They weren’t playing a game for 90mins against some other greasy, over-paid wankers. They were in a fly blown, mountainous hellhole against rugged killers, in a life and death situation. I’m not sure I even agree with whatever the point of Afghanistan was, but point is, troops were sent there by their superiors.
You get a guy like this Aussie. Even if some of the allegations are true, like how he shouted at a housemaid once… do people really expect men who succeed and win in those war torn situations to be like kittens? War is brutal. They send troops into them, and now a gang of human rights lawyer scum play the VAR game and start remotely picking over a situation they were never involved in.
It’s like Lord Herpes. The second generation immigrant. Family welcomed and accepted here, he has his education paid for, becomes a far left lawyer, is somehow promoted to the highest echelons, including becoming a Lord and the attorney General. How does he use these gifts he has been given? By attacking this country and its people. Working to give away assets and money to foreigners, working to punish veterans who put their lives on the line.
