I may have gotten this arse about tit here but this fella serves 17 years in nick for rape, ten of these because he wouldn’t admit to the offence.

Regardless of whether he did it or not, he’s done the time so why an extra 10 because he wouldn’t admit to a crime he says he didn’t commit?

If in fact he hadn’t committed the rape as evidence now suggests, then he would have had to admit to being a rapist.

I can’t understand this! Is it law?

    • MNC I think he’s since been shown to be innocent. If he’s done it then fair enough but he wouldn’t admit to something he said he didn’t do.

  3. Plea bargaining is a cunt. It might be a good bargain where there is strong evidence against the accused or the accused knows himself to be guilty. It places intolerable pressure on someone who knows himself to be falsely accused. Plea bargaining is a form of judicial torture, not all that much different to water boarding in its effects. Well done to this chap for resisting the pressure – but he’s served 17 years for something he didn’t do and his conviction was based on circumstantial witness evidence, now disproved by DNA tests.

    I hope he secures massive compensation. He deserves it more than the Chiggin George family. But I suppose he’ll get a fraction of what they recovered, because he’s white and the Wokerati won’t give a toss about him. Another injustice.

    Police fitted him up using two bent witnesses.
    He is not the first and won’t be the last.
    A mate (ex mate), was a very senior police officer, who used to say:
    “Everybody is guilty of a crime-it’s just the extent to which we can prove guilt.”

    The judicial system is fucked.
    He deserves £150k per year of wrongful imprisonment👍

    Yet it does seem perverse that he has to serve another 10 years for not admitting to a crime he says he did not commit.

    The justice system wants prisoners to show remorse as proof of rehabilitation but this seems like official blackmail.

  13. This fucking low life scum stabbed to death his ex girlfriend. She died as a result of multiple stab wounds to her face, neck and chest. He’s just been sentenced to ‘life’ in prison which is a whole 16 years and nine months. If he serves his full time he’ll be only 46 years old when he is released. In the meantime, the poor girl he brutalized will still be dead. Ffs, stop using the term ‘life sentence’. A ‘life sentence’ should mean exactly that – you are kept locked up until the day you die.

  16. If he got an additional 10 years for not admitting he did it, then shouldn’t all those who said he did do it get 10 years when he gets out.
    Failing that, get them to pay the compensation bill

    A lottery with rigged rules.
    In my new Utopia I will have MNC, Sir Fiddler and Unkle Terry as Judges, but would always be worried that they would be too soft and liberal!

  18. Plea bargains and sentencing in general have always been a joke.

    You shouldn’t get lesser sentences for saving the CPS some money.

    You shouldn’t get lesser sentences for being rich or first time offending.

    Its just unbalanced as well. You’ll get someone do 16 years for a murder and then a week later someone who fired a starting pistol in the air, pistol whipped a post office master and made off with 8 grand cash will have about 7 charges laddered against them for a total of 35 years.

    Whats the point of it? Its like a wild west not a legal system
