I may well be a bit sad, but I do enjoy cynically watching the results coming in from elections. so, naturally I wanted to watch the events unfold watching the tv with a large glass of red into the early hours. I checked online and the result from Clacton was forecasted to come in around 2am…..a not too late time to stay up in my book. I settled down to tune in just after 10pm….nothing ,zero tv coverage on any channels.The Burnham by election you couldn’t get away from it on tv…blanket coverage. Clacton…..fuck all. Went to BBC website and had to scroll right down until I found a small picture or farage and a link to a report, but still nothing live. In rhe end, I finished my wine and fucked off to bed around midnight. Woke up this morning to check the result on BBC website and guess what….two top stories about the farage £5m donation and how the enquiry will continue into it.

Donations are part and parcel of our corrupt political system. Whether it’s within the rules or not. Take a donation in one way and it’s illegal, take one in another way and it isn’t. The nasal Kweer: “I didn’t break any rules [when I accepted £200K of gifts from my boyfriend]”. When the useless Tories get booted out and start earning hundreds of thousands by ‘giving speeches’, I’ll bet these are forms of back payment for services rendered.

Agree regarding Farage.
However, the establishment has been left wing in this country since at least 1945. Which government since was meaningfully right wing? Commitments to conservative values? None. They’ve all been liberal garbage; they’ve all contributed to the mess we are in right now. I appreciate that the Thatcher governments had Section 28 as a single conservative policy – at the behest of campaigners like Mary Whitehouse – but that was all, and they only did it for a quiet life. Virtually every extremist social and cultural policy that preceded was left intact.
Farage isn’t even right wing. He is probably more like centre left, at best. He is a liberal. Just because he claims to be against illegal immigration doesn’t change that. Being against illegal immigration should be the absolutely basic, common sense position. Like believing that you shouldn’t eat your own shit.
On the BBC, I wouldn’t sell it. Its toxic infrastructure, workforce and culture are a danger to this country and its people. I would destroy it completely. Once we have a genuinely right wing government, I’d support them creating a very modest public propaganda service to help the large proportion of idiots in the population to have the right ideas. Yes, those of us on the right need to think this way. The left keep winning for a reason; they are far more determined and cynical, and they are driven by strong moral beliefs (however deranged they may be). There is no glory in being a beautiful loser, as the right keeps being shown to be.
