    • What really disturbs me is what might happen in the immediate aftermath of this attack.

      You can bet that there are some nutters out there who now think that it would be a good idea to launch some sort of ‘tit for tat’ reprisal against say a mosque or a community centre.

      Am I being utterly cynical in suggesting that if such an attack happened, it would be received, behind closed doors, as manna from heaven by the government? Just think of the opportunity for ‘deflection’ it would give them. Would they be able to resist jumping up and down shouting ‘see! see! we told you! far right! far right!’.

      I truly hope not, but I wouldn’t put money on it, as I think that they’re now seriously flaying about, and in deep, deep shit on this matter. Every single person I speak to says that they don’t have a clue.

  12. To many of us “non believers” of any religion, anybody who does have a penchant for sky fairies, of any type, does indeed have “mental health issues”.
    Of course to them the problem isn’t with their beliefs but with those of everybody else’s. ie. “It’s not me that is mad it is all the rest of you”, A classic nut job scenario.
    My problem is that they have guns as well a beliefs.
