I suppose that to supervise a group of kids there would need to be one teacher for every 3 or 4 kids.
Different in my day when just a couple of teachers could control a whole class.
I shouldn’t think that the teachers have to pay for the trip. That has to be factored in.
£800 is not too steep for a three night trip abroad, but perhaps the school should have organised some fund raising to offset the costs.

They know that a parent will not want to have the only kid that couldn’t afford to go on a foreign visit.

And to go and see a death camp, ffs. He’s 11, how is that going to have an impact on a child who just wants to know when lunch is, and where’s the toilet because he need a shit?
