5 1/2 years. Took my breath away. How long? Five and a half fucking years.

I can only say he seemed an ordinary enough bloke to me. A throwback to the 70s.

But he was right about the political posturing of comediens, all the modern day virtue signallers.

He actually dared to say that modern comediens werent funny.

But he has dared to challenge the BBC. And this is the result.5 1/2 fucking years.

I actually do see him a ‘political prisoner’now.

You would think that some of these ‘abusive emails’ or videos where he is being abusive would have leaked out. Where are they? I cannot find anything.

His stuff was mild enough. Not anything like you get on Isac.

I am really angry about it.

My hunch is that the judge of Aisan descent wanted to show her liberal credentials by giving him such a harsh sentence.

He, like Farage would refer to the ‘dinghy riders’. Unforgivable.

You know Cunters keep this secret but he has interviewd Jim Davidson sometimes. If the Court had known that he would have got 10 years I bet.

I obviously dont know the full case but I am 99% sure he didnt deserve 5 1/2 fucking years.

I know he was cleared of 4 counts.

It seems what Jeremy Vine ‘suffered’ and another sealed his fate.

I know Alex went for him on his videos about Jeremy’s cycling crusade. But honestly it was mild.

I cant find anything to warrant the charge of ‘abuse’.

I cant find anthing now because all his stuff has been taken down. Expunged from existence.

That was a clever by Vine to call him ‘the Jimmy Saville of online abuse’ or something. Really ostracised him

What triggered this? Oh yeah just seen a headline in the Express.-Jeremy Vine photographed with Greta Thunberg. And he is once again complaining of ‘horrendous abuse’ for doing it.

      Either quash Belfield’s sentence, or imprison Vine as well.

  5. Bit smarmy plus he liked to show off the contents of his nice house a bit too much for me did Alex.

    However, he rattled the cage of Jeremy Vine and called out a lot of other cunts in the news and the media, so he certainly wasn’t all bad.

    His sentence was harsh in my opinion and is probably more of a deterrent to anybody in the future who dares to speak out against the machine.

    He should have hired an Albanian to do Vine in or perhaps should have simply rammed the whiny voiced prick off his bike and drove over him and he’d have probably received a lighter sentence.

  7. In this modern age of digital social media such terms as “Online Abuse” and “Cyberstalking” amongst others are now easily chucked about by the media and authorities as if they are the equivalent of arson or GBH.

    Very convenient charges can therefore be trumped up to create court cases and all sorts of bother..all based on some things written on a screen by someone potentially hundreds or thousands of miles away.

    A recent example that was blithely and unquestioningly reported on was a group of police officers engaging in a group chat via the messaging app WhatsApp which by its nature is encrypted and totally private…nontheless a member of the group reported the other members of the chat to the police and a court case and convictions followed..

    The chat was private,nobody would ever have known any of the content had the cuckoo in the nest kept his mouth shut..but because it involved banter deemed offensive all hell broke loose.

    No one questions why private chats or content are matters for the police when harm has been done to nobody at all..it sets a very dangerous precedent indeed.

    A fine nomination of the abandonment of common sense and the right to privacy.

  8. Didn’t this Belfield bellend threaten someone’s kids? I think that’s what final did him in, he kept pushing and pushing and pushing and eventually he landed himself in court, then prison. What he was doing wasn’t satire, maybe it was in the early days, but he himself escalated it into criminal behaviour that terrified children, so now he’s cleaning toilets with a toothbrush with Albanians over his shoulder, the dumb cunt.

      In the clip above Jeremy Vine says he published his address and phone number. And it was other people who he said had threatened his children.

      • I can’t help but wonder though Ruff, whether this case would have received so much publicity had it not been for the fact Jeremy Vine was a target of his ire and by extension the BBC. After all no-one had heard of the other folks he targeted. I do wonder also if this fact influenced the length of sentence he received.

    • No I think Jeremy Vine was worried for his daughters and told them to keep an eye out. He claimed he had a picture of Belfield in his house to make them aware.

      I don’t know about that. There was no indication Belfield ever said anything related to his daughters and Vine was just being paranoid.

      I think Vine was more concerned with Belfield’s callers/fans. From listening I don’t think some of them were ‘all there’ and he was a bit snide with them, sensing they were a bit dim.

When someone is stalking you, it doesn’t matter if it’s a 6 foot 5 inch skinhead with a spider tattoo on his face or a Diddy Man with a feather duster, after a while, it becomes terrifying and overwhelming.

        There are hundreds of men and women who are stalked in this way, ie online, they are exes, or just someone they fancied the look of.
        They get blocked and reported to the police.
        If you’re very lucky the police will pay a visit to tell them off for being naughty.
        But it can and does affect you, to the point of despair, fear and paranoia.
        I speak from experience.

  10. The sentence was excessive but i firmly believe that Belfield is a manipulative self righteous narcissistic bastard that needed to be slapped down . I remember listening to one of his phone ins and this chap disagreed with him over something and Belfield handed out the blokes number on air . That’s when i changed my view of him .
    And didn’t he beg his listeners to crowd fund his legal fees and then use it to fuck off to Las Vegas .

    Hardly. What Jeremy Vine ‘suffered’ only got Belfield 13 weeks.

    No. the bulk of his sentence was in relation to offences against Radio Northampton presenter Bernie Keith and videographer Ben Hewis. For these offences Belfield received two and a half years each.

    A further 13 weeks was received for what theatre blogger Philip Dehany ‘suffered’.

    All sentences to run consecutively = 5 years 26 weeks.

    50% off with good behaviour = 2 years 39 weeks.

    Half his sentence to be served in prison, the remainder on licence (probation).

    So if he keeps his nose clean he’ll be out on probation after 18 months.

    Never liked Jeremy Vine, but if Belfield had stepped across the line, he deserved punishment, but a 5 1/2 years sentence, I don’t know. All I know is that I have seen scumbags get less for beating the hell out of the elderly and the very young.

    • A judge has to run those sentences together, he has no choice. Some people get over 100 years in prison in America and not for killing people, for just doing a whole laundry list of dumb crimes.

    • What a lot of people on here (and online in general) forget is that it is not a single sentence for a single victim. Eight people have taken him to court over many years of abuse and fear.

      There is a free speech issue to some of it, but the evidence of his activities has been examined (Belfield read out transcripts on his channel) and put to a jury.

      The twat was so confident he’d win he represented himself.

    I have a neutral stance on Belfield, I enjoyed watching him antagonise the BBC and Authorities but at the same time cringed at his other shannigans knowing full well his reign of terror (on the Beeb) would come to a messy end for Alex (as a 5 and a half year sentence proves)
    They’ve also silenced him and gave him a criminal record which goes along way controlling him as and when he gets out of nick (that’s if he doesn’t have an ‘Accident’ in jail!)

I don’t know anything about this bloke, or the reasons why he’s in prison, but it does strike me, in light of recent sentences handed out to the likes of Claudia (Beroos) Webbe and Katie ( Tits out) Price for similar activities, to be an unduly harsh sentence, regardless of how much time he actually serves in prison.

      It involves eight people being sent abuse for years. One was suicidal from the messages. Then he started his youtube channel where he names the people he worked with, accusing them of bullying him, while also being quite a bully himself, and insulting his own callers.

      There’s really no comparison between Belfields calculated harrassment of people for years, and a stupid joke made by a comedian on TV.. You can use that as an example or Jo Brand talking about throwing acid at Nigel Farage but, objectively, one, distasteful joke is not the same as what Belfield did

  28. The severity of his sentence has given some of his followers reason to bleat on that he’s being silenced by the bbc, or the government, or the elites…..zzzz
    But why would they? His ‘show’ wasn’t watched by enough people to be of any consequence. He was no whistle blower, had no insider knowledge. He just read out shit he read elsewhere online, but with his condescending nasally delivered opinions over the top, so hardly a threat to the beeb.
    And physically he’s not a threat either. A stringy, ginger fop, who like that other alt right YouTube prick, Paul Joseph Watson, would have trouble overpowering a schoolchild.
    But, the losers that can sit through his drivel are different and might act on his ravings and someone might get hurt.
