Must Watch TV

A nomination for ‘must watch’ TV series, particularly ‘box sets’.

I don’t care what it is , a Scandi-noir or Yankee crime epic, it’s still too long sat in front of the goggle box. Even during lockdown I could only manage a few episodes of Ashes to Ashes in one evening, but that was good fun (a very rare exception). That was shown on TV years ago so not a ‘current’ series, either.

I watched Stranger Things when it first came out and it was fairly good, but has since degenerated to woke shit. I also waited for Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones to largely complete their runs on broadcast TV before watching through them on my own time. GoT runs out of steam after series 4 but i did enjoy Breaking Bad.

In the meantime there’s been a lot of old muck recommended to me as ‘must watch TV’. I don’t have the time now. If a film is over two hours I will probably leave it.

I don’t understand the mindset of these people who feel left out if they’re not watching the latest episodic snooze-fest, or the smugness of those who cram this nonsense into their lives. It’s Telly! You’re not cultured. You’re a cunt, and a boring one at that.

  1. You got as far as series four of game of thrones? Fair play, I lasted ten minutes, my ex wife loved that kind of shit.
You can shove that squid game up your arse too.

  2. Ditched the licence earlier this year a d was the best thing I ever done bar the divorce. Only watch older un-woke un-pc stuff on the freebie streams or YouTube now. The proliferation of intrusive and meaningless advertising on YT puts me off, and sadly the TV cant block the ads like with a laptop, but its a small price to pay for watching proper comedy by the likes of Bernard Manning, Dave Allen, Cooper, Hill and the Alf Garnett stuff.
Seems to me that anything remotely ‘new’ doesnt mirror real life at all whether its set in the past, present or future. Embellished with shite that either didnt or wont happen.
As for series like GoT, never been remotely interested in them. If they need so much advertising and peddling on radio then my ‘thinking head’ automatically consigns it to the ‘its shit’ bin. Good nom.

  3. Most telly is shite.

ITV do the odd decent true crime series (The ones about Fred and Rose West, The Moors Murders and The Ripper were pretty good).

Those Scandinavian ‘whodunnits’ which these cunts rave about are shit. ‘The Killing’ was one such example. After watching the first two episodes I said that the moose limb immigrant prime suspect would be innocent and the white bloke who made the racist comment would be the killer.

    I was spot on.

All there other series are like this too. Whodunnit my arse. Too predictable.

The acclaimed yank ‘whodunnit’ ‘The Night of’ was the same. When you know the ‘woke game’ with these shows it ruins them.

Game of Thrones was shite too. Dragons and magic? I’m not fucking seven. Nice baps on the blondie though.

Breaking Bad was great as was The Sopranos.

If made today they’d both be woke abominations. The nom is correct. Most shows recommended as ‘oh you must watch this’ are fucking shite.

  4. I like to watch select X-Files episodes over and over. Hopefully Fringe will be streaming on Hulu soon. I agree with the Stranger Things assessment. As I predicted da gayness was inserted in season 3 and they waited until the last episode to make sure you didn’t walk away mid season. CUNTS! I don’t see myself bothering with season 4.

  5. It seems to me that TV is just something that is tolerated by my generation nowadays.

The statement of the BBC that it was there to ‘Educate, Entertain and Inform’ has long been forgotten by them and all other broadcasters.

  6. Game of Thrones…

…is what happens when five people share a house with just one toilet.

    💩

  7. TV binging is a sign of the times we live in.

Most of this must see 30 episode 12 series Netflix shite could be easily condensed into 2 hour films.

Was pretty much coerced by the family recently into watching that load of tedious shite Queens Gambit or whatever it was called which was basically about a young female Chess prodigy.
Countless hours of episodes that should have been a hour and a half film at best.

  8. B Bad= excellent
    GoThrones+dragons=shit
    Sopranos=prewoke =great
    The Wire=good (stop at ser2)
    Fargo= v good (stop at ser1)
Fauda=good if you can put aside the Zionist propaganda
Narcos 123 and more I enjoyed em all.
    Lots more.
Yep I’m afraid to say I watch netcunt too much but I do a fair bit of other stuff.

  9. I actually enjoyed the much hyped, Squid Game recently.
….And it got me thinking…..wouldn’t it be fun to gather a bunch of leftie leaning and other assorted cunts and force them to participate in such a series of games to the death.
Now that would make for fucking awesome TV! 👍

    • I watched it, quite enjoyed but thought it may be better in Korean with subtitles, didn’t know there was an option for that 😂

      • Not so long ago there was a craze for bum fighting, I seem to remember. Yank pranksters would give tramps money to face off, or race downhill in shopping trolleys. Hilarious must watch TV.

      • Aye it was excellent.
The tramps eventually sued the buggers who dreamt it up.

        Fucking lawyers are parasites haha!

  10. Could not get into Game of Thrones; I also lasted 10 minutes and couldn’t understand what all the fuss was about. On the other hand Norseman is a decent Viking comedy (on purpose).

  11. Decent TV:

    Hill street blues
    The Avengers (Diana Rigg😍)
    The old grey whistle test
Out of Town or anything with Jack Hargreaves👍
    The Young Ones
    Vic & Bob
    1970/80’s M.O.T.D

    In fact-just re-run 1975-1990👍

  12. Netflix is sickeningly woke. All series seem to start off well and then become hopelessly mired in virtue signalling fuck-wittery. That said, I did like Fauda and Narcos.

I have box sets of great stuff from the sixties/seventies/eighties eg, The Prisoner, The Avengers, Colditz, The Edgar Wallace Mysteries, Callan, Pennies From Heaven, The Singing Detective, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, World at War… Fucking brilliant TV that was made to entertain/inform.

BBC is pure propaganda cunt and can fuck right off.

  13. The thing that gets my piss boiling,

‘See what other people in your area are watching’, who gives a shit what other people are watching. It’s like the Ad for peoples post code lottery ‘why should your neighbours have all the fun’, what fucking fun, wankers

There are a couple of my neighbours I wouldn’t mind shagging, now that would be fun 👌

  14. Plus the BBC always try to punch above their weight. Hopeless writing. Dreadful directing and acting that always comes from the GrangeHill school of acting.
And you’ll be lucky if it’s not based on Londinium too. Cunts.

  15. Londinium was the Roman name. We are under a different occupation now, hence the current name….Londonstabistan.

    First Consul …. Suckdick Kuhntius
Governor and Military Commander….. Cressida Strapon Sappho

  16. Two good series from America were……

    Homicide, Murder on the Streets.

    And…. Prime Suspect.
The UK version with the ever fuckable Helen Mirram was good.
The Yank version has a different format, but was very watchable.

    For a good laugh I Liked……
    A Touch of Cloth.

  17. During the Lockdown last year I watched Coronation Street from 1970 onwards. A mate of mine who worked at Granada has scores of episodes and it was more or less every single episode from late 1969 (the first colour episode about the coach crash) to 1984 (Stan Ogden’s death and Billy Walker’s exit). Albert Tatlock, Annie and Jack Walker, and Stan and Hilda Ogden were my favourites. A million times better than the crap it has become now… Also, Elsie Tanner was milfmongous.
