Going on to the timeanddate.com site to check the exact time of today’s solstice, I clicked on Holidays and Events and noticed this event. The article on the website begins with “On June 22 every year, the UK celebrates Windrush Day to honor the British Caribbean community.”
WTF! Does the whole of the UK ‘celebrate’ this? I had never even heard of it until a few minutes ago and now that I do, I shall not be celebrating it just as I don’t travel across London during the August Bank Holiday to get stabbed or pickpocketed at the Notting Hill Carnival.

I have nothing against the Windrush generation. They came here in good faith, at our government’s request, to fill the shortfall of labour following the war. They worked hard, integrated in the face of much racism, and for the most part kept their noses clean and heads down.
Trouble only really occurred a couple of generations down the line, stirred up by the likes of Flabbott and the Labour Party, and more recently BLM and insane wokery which most decent blacks – certainly the ones I know – want nothing to do with.
I see no reason to have a day commemorating Wndrush though. It’s not as if the migrants made any special sacrifice to come here. The UK needed workers, they wanted the pay and improved prospects.

The majority of people I know who from the Windrush generation and there children worked hard and wanted to integrate. Those from the Caribbean were from a Christian based society with similar values. They were often properly racially abused not like the minor shit you see these days. They were a minority and it worked.
Unfortunately since we have just imported more and more mainly from Africa, the Middle East and Pakistan. Most of them do not have the same values, religion, ethics and wish to integrate and adopt British values.
