According to the BBC, October is officially ‘Black History Month’. Well, that was news to me and, I would imagine, news to many of you.
Anyway, the Black Curriculum ( it is a pressure group…they have t-shirts to prove it) want Black History to be taught all year. I Am not sure if this group include Indian, Chinese and Japanese History in their syllabus. Should the Black Curriculum manage to get their way, then we can look forward to Black Mathematics, Black Chemistry, Black Physics.
Happily, these three could be covered in a single afternoon.

Not much LGBT history. Lesbians, before the 1920’s people didn’t think they existed. Gays (male?) it was a crime to engage in sexual acts until when, 80’s or something. Bi, probably existed but I think the term Bi is quite modern. Transgender, well that used to be transsexual, and was quite well known during the last century. Doubt much of that will be taught. Althout they are claiming that words like pansexual, transgender, bisexual and whatever were first used about 200 years ago. Thats BULLSHIT, like saying Einstein was autistic.

Fuck black history, in my school we didnt even get all the english history! No mention of napoleonic war, or the time around Alfred the great and the birth of ‘england’, and almost nothing from before then. If we dont even teach all of OUR history, how the fuck can we be expected to teach other history? What black history did we really have here anyway?
