Chief fire officer Ben Ansell was quoted as saying that “it is important that our organisation is reflective of the community we work for.” Erm, sorry, but no it isn’t – what’s important is ensuring that regardless of race, gender, sexuality etc the best people for the job get the job and those people are hired ON MERIT.

Sounds like another cunt who has earned his stripes at university rather than practical first hand experience on the front line. A quick search from the 2011 census puts Dorset at almost 98% white and Wiltshire almost 94% so there seems no need to break out the steel drums and celebrate their diversity just yet. As for women firefighters unless they are built like Serena Williams what’s the point?

So what? If we’re going to have diversity quotas then it’s important that it also applies to people that fucking die, otherwise it ain’t fair. Statistics should tell us the death toll each and every day from the local population and if it doesn’t equate to the local demographics then we should send out cunts to make sure it is. 28% of the population in Dorset are 65 or over (national average is 18%). This is another important part of the community which is shamefully misrepresented within the local Fire Service.
Assuming that 50% of them are female, then a truly representative target for the new recruitment drive should be 14% women over the age of 65.
