  2. Talking of ignorance, here’s this. One of the tinfoils I know will post any old shit that echoes his anti vax opinions. Earlier, he posted something a ‘doctor’ had shared on Twitter. I say ‘doctor’ because you don’t have to submit any proof of your credentials to say you’re a doctor on Twitter, like on the ‘Great Barrington declaration’ where some of the signatures have been obviously made up such as Dr M Mouse and Dr D Duck, and even more ridiculous Dr Vernon Coleman.
    Anyway, this post basically said that the only experts regarding your children’s health are not doctors, or scientists, or government, but You! Do your research!
    It didn’t mention vaccines but it was obviously aimed squarely at that subject.
    But then it made me think, do they know what research actually entails? Calling what most people class as research is like saying that climbing a flight of stairs to go to the bog is the same as climbing Everest.
    I look forward to never having to wait to see a doctor, as parents search the internet for Wiccan remedies as their children die of preventable ailments.

      • Morning chaps. I had a great night out on Friday, had to before Kim Il Drakeford shuts the principality down again. Although there were people out, it was a bit quiet for a Friday night, but still plenty of people getting on with it.
        It’s the mixed messages from the government, both the UK and the hated Welsh one, on guidance at the moment, and ambiguous warnings that are fucking up the hospitality sector. They aren’t closing them down, which would have provided them with funding, but telling people to avoid them to save Christmas, which is the worst of both worlds for pubs and restaurants.
        Of the five of us that went out on the piss, two work for the NHS, one a paramedic, the other a palliative care nurse. I also know other people in the care industry and a registrar whose has confided with me some very interesting stories. It’s with the testament of these trusted friends that I base my opinions on, and not the ‘MSM’ or bitchute.
        Keep calm and carry on.

      • The government are in an impossible position, under pressure to shut things down but not wanting to upset people by doing so.
        The message carry on but take care is pretty ambiguous but to my mind I don’t think the government message or Chris Tiity has driven public behaviour.
        The daily infection numbers and the warnings about the transmissibility of Omicron have made people more cautious, trying to imply that it’s the governments fault is a bit of a stretch.
        Given the farce of the last couple of weeks any government message not to do stuff would be met with a big fuck off and people are making their own decisions.

      • I can only really speak for my experience in Wales. The mask nonsense was never really removed from Wales, and the diktats coming from Cardiff have always been negative and scaremongering. Back in September I had a weekend in England, and it was liberating to behave normally. So, go back to the start of the new variant, maskless English had an infection rate of one in sixty, whereas in masked up Wales we had it at one in forty five. Social factors have been put forward as a possible reason for this, but it doesn’t hold up.
        Social distancing forced on pubs and restaurants, already struggling after 18 months of restrictions and closures, together with a lack of public confidence from mixed messages and contradictory advice from all U.K. governments will mean the end of quite a few businesses.

I’ve had 2 jabs and the booster but they keep avoiding mentioning the 200+ units of spirits I have had this week.

    Well that might be true but the govt has had nigh on 2 years to build extra hospitals and recruit medics. What’s happened to their manifesto promise to build 40 hospitals? Has even 1 hospital been built or started? I don’t hear anything about it in the media, but that’s not say there hasn’t been progress – would love to hear news on that.

    One of the things I hear is that the population has gone up over the years, yet bed spaces have gone down. That doesn’t make sense at all. So when I’m asked to do whatever to save the NHS, well that’s all fine and dandy, but I want to know what is the plan to expand the NHS for the ever expanding population, a la Sim City? Don’t say we can’t recruit people – the world is enormous, with 7.9 billion souls, so there must be medics who want to come here or we can make it so that they do want to come. Even if we had to give them a 6m induction process to bring them up to standard; it would be worth it. Projects like HS2 looks like a dead cat to me, whereas investing in hospitals and staff looks like a far better idea.

    Rather than being treated like a human pin cushion, we need to hear about extra hospitals.

I was always for the ” shield the vulnerable and let the rest go for herd immunity” idea. However I really don’t think that putting a fucking mask on is such a hardship. If the very least that it does is give some peace of mind to the old Dear walking past me in the shop…I can live with that.

        N1 respirators, highly effective in enclosed areas, such as large underground storage tanks, sewers… Fully sealed and effective filtration to the fumes.

        Paper face nappies, a fashion statement for some, for others an example of their virtuous signalling. Put one on and stroll behind a vapist or smoker, or old lady marinated in some dog awful perfume… still smell it? Imagine how much smaller a virus particle is. But hey, after this was pointed out, apparently the science changed and it’s not about protecting the wearer…

  26. If I were in power I would subject vaccine mandate advocates and ‘the unvaccinated are the problem’ loons to far tougher restrictions than they’re advocating for. I wouldn’t even allow them to go to the shops, and would only remove said restrictions when they learn their lesson and apologise for advocating for fascist policies in the first place.

    • Have any of these policies been implemented? Apart from needing a vaccine pass to go into nightclubs, and even then a recent negative lateral flow test is acceptable.
      At the moment the vaxxed and unvaxxed are in the same boat. Granted its in shit creek without a paddle but at the moment everyone is the same.
      It’s this sort of exaggerating that sets people apart.

  29. Went to get my Covid vaccine in downtown Burngreave, Sheffield today. I thought I had landed in downtown Addis Ababa. Hundreds of them, smoking grass, not one speaking English. Get this, they were lounging around the Covid testing centre, every one of them gobbing on the floor jabbering away in Swahili. Nice. Diversity is our strength. I loathe this country, the wokes and the fucking out of touch cretics who run it into the ground.
