  2. Cases

    Corona cases, to be specific.

    Let’s all panic when they find a couple of dozen “new cases”. Let’s ignore the fact that those cases are probably not severe, and that most of those affected/infected wouldn’t have known anything about it if they hadn’t tested positive.

    They keep finding new cases because they keep looking for them.

    On the other hand, if they were to test the whole population then the death rate will look ridiculously low. I expect that most of us have already had it without noticing, and those who have sadly died of it (or with it?) will suddenly become a much smaller percentage of a much bigger case number.

    I want them to stop going on about cases without qualifying them as severe, or at least noticeable!

  4. Have been various news reports on AlJazeera of countries, who have lifted their lockdown restrictions either partially or completed, now witnessing huge spikes in infections, resulting in new lockdowns.

    Countries such as Saudi Arabia, Madagascar, UAE, South Africa, Israel and Palestine to name but a few.

    On top of all this, some countries with lockdowns already in place are still seeing significant rises in daily infections/deaths – India, Russia, Germany, Brazil, Mexico and the USA.

    So you’re fucked if you don’t life restrictions, and fucked if you do.

  8. Blimey 9 tower blocks in Victoria, Australia, have a police guard – nobody allowed out – all because of 100-odd ‘Covid-19’ cases across the entire state of Victoria. Nobody is dropping down dead in the street from this disease and now we know the mortality rate, so why the hell are people being treated like this? Victoria is gripped by some stasi lunatic.

    I see the Daily Fail readers are in favour of this hard lockdown.

    • p.s. The entire number of ‘cases’ in Oz is a tad over 8,000 and over 7,000 recovered. Only 104 deaths in the whole of bloody Australia. A hard lockdown is totally unnecessary.

      • On the flip side, the population density in such a vast country like Oz, is around 9 people/mi² with a population of almost 26m spread over just under 8m km²

        Compare that to the UK with a pop of 67m and land area of just 243k km². The density here therefore is 724 cunts per square mile!

        No wonder our death rate is so high!

        No matter, my calculator makes out that the death rate in UK is 0.08% and in Oz it is 0.003%- the poor buggers in Victoria need to stick two fingers up to their authorities.

  10. The cuntinuing corona virus “crisis” and it’s management by clueless politician cunts.

    After initial projections of a 3% fatality rate it now looks more like 0.3%. That’s 3 in 1000 who actually get infected with the bastard.

    Back in March it looked pretty scary but drastic measures were taken and in all likelihood they have had some positive impact in slowing the spread. Awesome.

    Back in March we didn’t have much in the way of data. We do now. So if there’s a crisis it’s a crisis of awareness. The public at large has (re)learned how virus’s spread and society has embedded into practice some prudent measures that will protect us against the dreaded covid-19 and also the common cold.

    I don’t want to start listing things here but in principle is it not reasonable to expect that we have collectively learned to be a little more cautious with respect to flu like symptoms? That being the case can we not safely get back to normal so long as we apply our newly (re)acquired awareness of such illness?

    The answer ought to be yes, the crisis is over and we have adapted. Unfortunately the answer is no.

    Why? Because the gormless dickheads who “run” our respective nations are all too busy watching each other waiting for the other to make a mistake to think rationally. They are cunts and they’re making cunts of the rest of us with all this bollocks about facemasks in this scenario but not the other. What a load of utter shite. I should have called this cunting corona incuntsistencies. It’s already getting too long.

      • Because of the tests.

        They test and test, find positives and call them cases whether they’re even ill or not. Then the media trumpets about the increase in cases (due to the increase in testing) and everyone starts wetting themselves.

        Meanwhile, almost no one in this cuntry knows anyone who has got sick from this thing, much less died from it.

      • Sorry to disappoint but I know two people three have caught it. One has recovered and back at work but totally knackered by the aftereffects. The other is isolating.

        The third is currently on a ventilator in an induced coma.

        And my daughter works at the hospital in radiotherapy risking her life to treat cancer patients. This is especially worrying as her 13 years old son is in the vulnerable category.

        So I’m afraid you’re talking through your arse…

  12. As my Mother is staying with me for a while, I had to turn on Sky News yesterday. Blimey, it was just like repetitious mind control with built in bs:

    So the ‘putting on, wearing or removing a face covering will cause you severe distress’ sounds like my excuse. I wonder how that will wash when I say that?

    • I have a degree of sympathy for those who booked before any of this shit kicked off and are faced with going or losing their money.

      The travel companies were running the flights so if you don’t go then you lose because your travel insurance won’t cover you.

      And remember that government did warn when the rules were laid down that restrictions could be imposed at any time with no prior notice as has happened with Spain.

      I’ve had 2 holidays cancelled by the operator but I’ve got one in the UK in August booked last year. I wouldn’t be booking it now but hindsight is a wonderful thing. I also have a river trip booked for the Autumn. It may or may not happen but if I cancel, I will lose thousands…

  23. Am not a big fan of Boris generally, and his complete lack of joined-up-thinking managing the Covid-19 thing only demonstrates he is either out of his depth and/or listening to the wrong people!

    But looking at the bigger picture, he is not alone in his no-win scenario. Reading some articles on Al Jazeera this morning, would indicate countries across the world that thought they had the virus under control and thus started easing lockdown, are now seeing spikes again, resulting in reversals and more restrictions.

    Brazil, Mexico, the US, Russia, India, Japan, Australia (especially Victoria), France, Italy, South Korea, China et al, have all announced rises in cases after they thought they were on top of things.

    So its not just Boris, but other leaders across the world, who really don’t have any idea how to control this thing once and for all

  29. 50 million masks that can’t be used in the NHS……… absolute bollocks!!

    What they really mean is they can’t be used on the Covid coal face because they are ear loop types, the masks are as good if not better that the general loose fitting masks used in the general areas of hospitals.

    From what I could see on the news report they were stencilled with FFP2 so should be more than adequate as a general use mask

    And they can sell them to suppliers for resale to Joe public, that should cover the cost!

  30. You when you’ve got a real pandemic? You don’t have to falsifiy death certificates on an industrial scale. Deaths were below the 5 year average until the lockdown. The excess deaths were due to closing the NHS for 3 months, withdrawing GPS and ambulances from care homes, withholding antibiotics from care homes and putting all sick residents on end of life pathways. DNR notices were also placed on the files of all over 60 NHS patients without their consent. Turns out you’re all cunts who bought the Coronahoax, hook, line N sinker. Apart from Lana Del Cunt.
