No, I’m not referring to ordinary Trump supporters. I’m referring to the MAGA diehards. The ones for whom Trump can do no wrong. The ones who dismiss every attempt to criticise/scrutinise him and his policies as a ‘deep state conspiracy.’ The ones who believe he is God in human form, and would quite literally jump off a cliff for him. The ones who literally stormed the Capitol because they couldn’t accept that he lost.

It is creepy to see any politician – and yes, that is what he is now – hero worshipped to this extent. Dare I say it, there are even echoes of Jonestown in his Movement, inasmuch as both him AND Jim Jones present(ed) themselves as heroic saviours who hold the keys to a perfect utopian future. Hopefully if he loses the horrid cult will go away.

      Our country is on the precipice of cultural and economic annihilation, and had Harris won the resultant blowing wind would have impelled the leftist-authored apocalypse of the West.

      The examples Trump is going to give the world when it comes to economic and energy security, immigration, identity politics, and the dismantling of the bureaucratic hegemony, and sticking two fingers up at the political elite and making it clear we don’t have to be “diplomatic” and “respect the feelings of all sides” we can just make the decisions the people want and fucking well get shit done, is going to make it clear to this country what the alternative could look like and ensure the scum we have in charge are kicked out at the first opportunity.

      As for the snotty contempt for Trump’s supporters; thank fuck for them is all I can say. At least they got off their fucking arses and helped to drive his successful election. And the fact that they inspire such rage in the left makes them more than ok in my book; any Trump voter is welcome in my house. Any Labour voter is only welcome in my cesspit, where no doubt they’ll be more than at home.

      I knew there were a lot of idiots in America, some are relatives of mine, but I didn’t know they made up over half of the population. They say you can’t fool all the people all of the time, but apparently you can fool most of them. Up to now they’ve had the constitution and the rule of law, from now on they’ll have the law of Trump. This king-sized arsehole should have been locked up for the rest of his life, instead they’ve handed him the keys to the city. Not bad when you consider the only reason he stood for re-election in the first place was to keep himself out of prison.

      In 2016 there were people in position to guide him, to advise against excesses and to implement damage limitation. This time he’ll surround himself with sycophants and indulge himself to the max over the next four years, knowing that the Republican party and the corrupt two thirds of the Supreme Court will do nothing to stop him. This result has opened up the possibility of civil unrest and future assassination attempts. Nothing that happens from now on will surprise me.
