Tyson Fury (2) and Heavyweight Boxing (ringside judges)

The “Lineal” heavyweight champion of the world is a bit of a cunt.

As I’ve said before, I’ve long been an admirer of Tyson Fury down the years.

His three fights with Deontay Wilder and his dismantling of long reigning Ukrainian cyborg – Wladimir Klitschko (who wasn’t as hard as his older brother I must add) were fantastic.

His slide into personal problems and the resultant ballooning to 30 odd stone in weight, before shedding said weight and recapturing the world championship, was truly inspirational stuff.

However – Tyson Fury – like many a self promoter, has repeatedly told us that he is quite literally the greatest ever. What’s worse is that so many nodding dogs and experts in the media happen to agree with his delusions.

He isn’t one of the greatest ever because he hasn’t been involved at any where near the levels that other past champions have fought at. He has fought a couple of half decent dangerous opponents and that’s about it. Hardly Frazier Foreman and Norton though is it.

It is my perception, that he has repeatedly ducked worthy opponents and has chose to partake in lesser fights against opponents that he thought he could beat easily.

Fair enough, the fella wants to earn a few quid and avoid injury, but his latest escapade last night, an “exhibition” bout against big punching MMA heavyweight champion, one Francis Ngannou in the soulless boxing back water of Saudi fucking Arabia, was a bad joke very nearly gone wrong.

With a unification fight apparently pencilled in against Ukrainian champion Oleksandr Usyk (who was sat looking mortified ringside) for late December – Fury decides to almost embarrass himself, the sport of boxing and ruin any chance of the fight actually happening.

As it is – the dodgy judges made sure that the “correct” result was the obvious outcome, allegedly..

Tyson Fury can’t even be bothered to keep himself in any semblance of shape and his physical appearance last night was akin to an overweight beached whale in a pair of shorts.

Fury is getting older, his punch resistance is waning and his lack of conditioning was always going to catch up with him. Last night it did.

Fair play to the gentleman and athlete that is Francis Ngannou. The fella is two years older than Fury and has never boxed professionally before yet almost, and probably should have, became Lineal heavyweight champion of the boxing world.

He took his (pre determined) defeat in good spirit to be fair to the man.

Fury by comparison – looked depressed afterwards and came out with some of the worst crap imaginable

“Francis was better than we thought he would be”

No fucking shit Tyson!

If this unification fight happens then I’ll be very surprised. Although obviously I hope it does.

Tyson had a 12 week training camp apparently.

Yes 12 weeks of kebabs, beak and Fosters.

PS: I’d genuinely like Fury to start taking the heavyweight championship seriously, get himself back into shape, take on all comers, whup em and prove me wrong.

  1. Heavyweight boxing has become a bit of a joke in the last 10 years.
    No-one wants to fight anymore..
    Too many belts.

Bring back the good old days of Mike tyson..who’s next? Knockout..Next..

  2. I like Tyson Fury.

He’s the great white hope I waited years for to come along.

    Not only that, English.
    Even better, Northern.

    Funny as fuck,
    A fellow slap head
And over 6ft 5in like all real men😁

He’s boosted the sport and boy did it need it!!

    He came unstuck against Ngannou,
I thought it was close but Ngannou won.

But Francis is a champion in his own sport, hardest punch in any combat sport,
And I couldn’t name anyone else who would of gone more than three rounds with him.

Tyson Fury has fought some outstanding fights,
Not least against his own mental elf.

He’s given me loads of joy that had been missing from not just the heavyweight division but boxing in general.

If he retires I’ll miss him.
I’ll remember him fondly running in as Batman🦇

    A true champion
    The mad cunt

    • Northern, yes, English, no.

The Furys, as you know full well, are tinkers from dat dere Oireland.

Just because you are born in a stable, doesn’t make you a nag.

      • He was born in Whythenshawe Mickey where my sister lives.

He fought on st Georges day wearing the flag of st George.

        I’m not arsed if he’s a gyppo,

To be honest I don’t carry my racism into sports,
I like and respect loads of black fighters and even south American
        (Roberto Duran)

    • This is just my own opinion and I would say I’ve got a decent understanding of boxing and the bullshit politics that runs it.

But it’s just an opinion so subject to scrutiny.

I think Fury is one of the best heavyweights of all time, I think he’ll retire unbeaten and I also think it’s too easy to say he wouldn’t have stood a chance against the likes of Ali et al.

But we will never know that so what’s the point of even considering it. He can only fight what’s in front of him, not what’s behind him.

Boxing promoters since time began have ensured their fighters only fight those opponents that they believe they will beat.

I think Fury will fight anybody and is scared of no one but i also think on occasion he’s left himself open to criticism because he’s picked a ‘training’ fight with opponent and underestimated them.

He did this with Otto Wallin.

I think he can’t ‘get up’ for a fight unless there’s a title on the line.

I look forward to the Usyk fight which will happen and being proved wrong. Which unlike the fight, won’t happen.

    • Fury should look in the mirror next time he decides to label fighters like Ruiz ‘Fat little pigs’, although Fury is looking more like an elephant seal.

Can’t wait to see Mike Tyson smash up the old man, either.

  3. All overhyped and well overpaid, just like premiere league football. A huge load of Cunt………..

  4. Fury wasn’t himself for sure. His punch stats won him the fight ion paper but he got what Ali would have called a whooping.

Ngannou is a warrior but he isn’t a boxer, Fury thought he’d be repeating Mayweather v The Gobshite but it didn’t go to plan. If Fury have known what a beast he was fighting he might have taken it seriously, either that or he’s shot.

I hope he fights Usyk and is properly prepared and they give us a proper undisputed champion.

The alphabet boxing authorities should try and restore some kind of authenticity back to the sport and take a champions title if he takes a bullshit fight instead of fighting the highest rated contender.

As it stands Tyson Fury may have the belt but he’s lost all credibility as champion.

    • Tyson Fury has become the Floyd Mayweather of the heavyweight division, carefully selecting his opponents and avoiding those who he thinks could give him trouble. He chose to fight Derek Chisora for the third time nearly a year ago when Chisora hadn’t even deserved to get a second shot. Why give the fans what they want when you can make money just for turning up? He avoided Dillian Whyte for years, waiting for him to either lose a fight or die of old age, and so far he’s successfully dodged Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk. Boxing’s sanctioning organizations shouldn’t allow this to happen. Real champions want to fight everybody and accept the occasional loss when they have an off night. These days remaining unbeaten means everything.

  5. I do like the madness that is Tyson Fury.

Imagine the soulless wasteland that the heavyweight division would be without him.

I find it amusing that he’s a fat fucker but still has very good hand speed etc..plus he never used to take himself too seriously despite fighting at the very highest level.

Noticeably though recently he’s started referring to himself as The Greatest of all time and other daft shite…the money has probably got to him and it may have ruined him for good.

He’ll be missed when he retires..though many of the heavyweight champions of past decades would have made mincemeat of him it has to be said.

PS Saudi Arabia is full of cunts and boxing has no place there so fuck off.

  6. The yanks love Tyson.

    I can see why,
The full Hollywood story, the real Rocky thing.

    Gypsy boy born prematurely,
    Everyone thought he’d die.

Against the odds -lives, thrives, grows to be a giant.

    Fights to the top,
    Against the odds became Champion.

    Suffers depression,
    Balloons to over 30 stone.
    Everyone writes him off.

    Against the odds- comes back!!

    Gets a fight with Wilder,
    Gets knocked out.
Against the odds get up beats the count
    Beats up Wilder!!

    The lads full of surprises.

Sings American Pie to the yank audience,
Always praises him lord and saviour Jesus Christ.

    Made for the yanks!!

      • Phil ” if labour get elected, I’m off” Collins.

        Cunt, Drummer.

        Peter Gabriel he’ll never be….!

  7. Anyone that believes the Usyk fight will happen in December is a massively naive cunt

Fury couldn’t get in shape for that fight in 6 months , the fat bastard , let alone 6 weeks

  8. Only ever enjoyed the comic art of Cassius Clay. Even took a few knocks on purpose to deny his opponent any merit.

  9. I wish the lad nothing but the best of luck.

A family man and all round character,
Entertainer, ambassador for the gentlemanly art of boxing and great champion 🥊

    God bless ya big man👍

      • No LL, no boxing club near me when growing up.
There’s a great one there nowadays,
And Ricky Hattons isn’t far either.

My grandad was a big boxing fan,
        He adored Marvin Hagler,
If I stayed at my grandparents on a Saturday night in the 70s he’d let me stay up late and watch the fight🙂

      • I didn’t myself either but I respect what they do for the community and give young kids a sense of discipline and self-respect.

      • It’s put many a tearaway on the straight and narrow.

It teaches discipline and clean living.
        Gives confidence.

Lot of boxers are from poor backgrounds,
I remember on some TV show Sugar Ray Leonard saying he thought the streets were rough where he grew up till he saw where Roberto Duran grew up!!

A Panama slum where he’d fight for the prize of a Hamburger.

        Here’s the man himself

        https://youtu.be/VHi_ZciU1uk?si=UC7Eo5ad6DBvXs4U

  10. I will stick to living in the past when it comes to boxing.

Nowadays ducking a fight over money..
    Fucking embarrassing.

Sugar Ray Robinson fought 201 times, that is unbelievable..
    A real legend

  11. Fury is now overweight, over hyped and over the hill. He can no longer take punches to the bozo and once, well until a few fights ago, could still stay on his feet while essentially knocked out and nothing dismays an opponent more than that. The big cunt used to be able to function in a limited way while still zombified but that talent is fast ebbing away.
If I were his manager I would up the ante while Fury still has enough brain left to stand upright and unleash the hype big time to get him a big money fight with a dangerous opponent and leave it at that. If he wins (if there are enough judges in the pocket) then go on to the next big money payday until his arse is whupped for good. What I like about boxing is it has no morals and Fury has it coming to him big time the dumb Oirish cunt.

  12. A great boxing contest back in the day was something to look forward to.
    Always on american time..
Staying up to 2 in the morning.
    But you did…payed the money.

    Nowadays..night night.

    • For me its been that way since Haye versus Klitchko. 4 hours of bullshit and panto, then a fucking dance.

Ive seen better fights outside Help the Aged.

  13. Tyson in his prime would have beat anybody including Clay, this fat lump of shite wouldn’t have made it to the second round.

    • Clay’s comment on Cooper beating Bodell amused me. “So Cooper bopped Bodell. A bum beats a bum”

  14. I havent had much respect for the Heavyweight division since Haye versus Klitchko. People think Football is overhyped but rubbish was ridiculous. Panto and Mind games on the level you’d get from a secondary school playground beef, followed by tippy toes.

    Pure dross.

    Money has ruined it.

    • Klitschko v Haye was the worst heavyweight championship bout that I can ever remember watching.

The over rated daft cunt then blamed his injured small toe for his non performance and defeat.
