Id like to nominate things bought on ebay that don’t match the picture/description.
I wear a sheepskin flying jacket when the weather’s cold and the dog’s teeth ripped the sleeve toy fighting, so decided I’d treat myself to a new one.
A Irvin RAF one costs £850 but should last a lifetime, saw one on ebay for few hundred quid cheaper.
Checked it was from a UK company, not China.
When It came I excitedly unwrapped it to find something that a eastern european gypsy would be embarrassed to wear. Nothing like the picture at all!!
I gave it a piss poor review and started the ball rolling for a refund. The seller contacted me upset over the bad feedback asking me to remove it. Turns out his name was Asian (?)
Got a refund, but can’t believe you can put a picture up of a quality item and sell something different?
Ebay must know that traders on it are bullshitters, scammers, but allow it to happen.
If I die of exposure im holding ebay responsible.

I have an Irvin and maching sheepskin pilot’s helmet. I’m kinky like that. 😁
Can only wear the jacket when its – 5 outside, or I’ll be sweating my cock off.
Try Silvermans. They do a pretty good non-shearling for around £550.

Price has gone up. Now £615.
1
Just looked at Silvermans Odin, id have to have it custom made by them,
Which they do.
only for woody Allen types in sizes!😁
3
You are Chubby Brown and I claim my £5.
4
Who was the seller, was he/she based in Manchester perchance?
Does he/she sell sheepskin moccasins too ?
1
Fuck me MNC. You must be Stockport’s answer to Biggles. I hope you don’t have any of his unsavoury racism.
5
Not me CC, im a ambassador for race relations I am.
One love!✊

I thought you were a rugged type MNC, i figured your abundant chest hair would be enough to keep you toasty even in the arctic tundra clad only in a pair of shorts. Your beard alone keeping your warmer than modern central heating, the hair on the back of your hands causing the palms to sweat.
Not that I’m excusing ebay sellers of course. I always filter the results to UK only and then look at the seller. If their name or email address looks even remotely effnik I refuse to buy from them.

Hey up Cuntflap,
Genuinely not the “nesh” type and out in all weathers but these coats last a life time and even when minus 10 theyll keep your core warm!
And comfy!
Nothing better than sliding inside a sheep!!😁😁

I used to have an Irvine flying jacket – still regret selling it. I buy and sell on Ebay, they know full well that the dinks are lying cheating conning little cunts, and do absolutely nothing – Ebay are based in Ireland and Luxembourg to avoid tax and UK legislation and have call centres in the Philippines where the staff seem to be trained to be lazy, arrogant, vexatious little bastards who openly laugh at you. The UK CEO is called Rob Hattrell and never responds to complaints – getting Ebay to do ANYTHING is like plaiting piss.
I cannot describe how much I hate Ebay, cucks for the chinks and utter thieves.
Good nom MNC – and a good one is to get the good lady to go on Facebook and really slag them off – they hate negative publicity! 😄👍

Great arent they foxy?
Warm, comfy, and even when old and beaten up look good!
Rather like myself!☺
If the idiot akita hadnt got carried away mauling me mine would still be ok, but looked like a shark had mauled me.

It doesn’t matter if the seller’s based in the UK, they can still be a tíddly. Make an enquiry about the product’s quality. If you receive a response from Mr. Lee, Barking, East London saying, “Jacket good, bland new, perfek quarity, hand-stitch by glandfather, full leefund if you no rike” then avoid it like the incoming Swine flu.
10
Also check that what you’re buying, from a seller supposedly in Essex, isn’t going to take 6 fucking weeks to arrive.

When purchasing on eBay, always make a note to check the seller’s name and address at the bottom of the listing. Although the item is actually from within the UK, a lot of times the seller will actually be a Mr. Xiao Dingdong or some other mess of Chinese Hanzi.
What a lot of these Chinese mass production/shippers do is set up warehouses in some certain locations and send the item out from one of them so as to avoid the customs hoops that come with shipping from outside of the EU to a customer within.
Rather than ship the individual item from China and risk it being picked up and marked for import duty fees, they will instead simply forward the order to one of their UK or EU warehouses, in turn avoid any custom fees being imposed on the buyer and allowing them to flog all their shit on us whilst only a single import duty fee being required when stocking their warehouse.

I’ve bought and sold a lot of stuff on eBay. If your a buyer eBay will usually protect you if you get ripped off but forget it if your a seller. They NEVER take the sellers side.
9
I buy and sell a few DVDs on Ebay every month and have had very few problems but you’re right, if in doubt they side with the buyer. I recently received a refund demand from a buyer who’d only waited two weeks, which isn’t much of a delay these days. She’d complained to Ebay instead of notifying me first. Got on to Ebay and said surely she can wait to see if it turns up, no they would only allow eight days and I had to pay up. I had proof of posting but it didn’t do me any good because I didn’t have tracking. So she could be sat there with the DVD and gets her money back too. Luckily most Ebayers aren’t like that.

I heard about a bloke who sold an iPhone on eBay . The buyer a good honest citizen called Mr Mamoud said it was not working and returned it and eBay issued him a refund.
When the postman came the seller had to sign for it, when he opened the package their was a pebble in the box.
So he never got his iPhone back and was out of pocket £500.

I must be one of the lucky Fleabayers as I’ve bought and sold hundreds of items and my experience has been very positive with the exception of a towelling dressing gown I bought new which wasn’t fit to wipe the floor with, but hey what do you expect for £19? But I’ve read many a horror story experience by buyers and sellers alike.
The stone in a return box is a fairly common trick deployed by sweaty sand chimps that want to steal a living ftom honest sellers and are the bacteria that you have to protect yourself from. Firstly Fleabay shouldn’t be issuing refunds before item has been returned unless they have proof the seller is a conning cunt.
The trick when expecting a return is to video the postie delivering it and the signing part, as it should always be signed for. It’s important to keep video going while cutting open the box until contents are revealed so if there is just a weight in there you can upload the vid as evidence. Fleabay are a cunt to sellers and without sellers they’re finished. Just another example of a company thinking they’re bigger than those that keep their obscene profits rolling in by virtue if their size.

The Irvin FAA jacket (without cold weather lining) is the monkey’s tits. When I have a spare wad of cash I may treat myself. I already have the Mota Lita leather wheel in the Rover P6.
I would also love a Le Mans original, not too pricey and cool as a cucumber for a classic petrol head so this might be an autumn treat:
https://www.mygpo.com/en/2020-collection/roadmaster-sand.html
I would buy the FAA from Irvin direct, not some effnik neer do well on the Bay of Flea.
Fuck them all to Hades.

I had an experience using Evil Bay.Not to be trusted.Con artists.Thank God I left them.

Gave up fleabay years ago. Too many lying cunts selling and even more cunts asking stupid questions about my items. You can put a bargain on and still the pikey cunts want it cheaper. Much as I hate facebollox it is free to buy and sell plus you tend to deal with nice local folk!
4
I’ve not used ebay in ages. I tend to use Amazon. I’m still cautious where I buy things from.
1
I’ve recently started to spend more time looking for stuff beyond those 2 sites, they’re more of a last resort if I’m struggling.
2
Sorry to hear about your bad experience Miserable. Maybe you should have made the best out of it and embraced your ‘inner gyppo’, got the coat on and started practicing yelling “Beeeeg Ishoooo” ready for a stint outside the local Aldi.
5
Now ive got my money back I can laugh LL!!
It was truly dreadful.
No one in their right mind would accept it!
I was a headscarf away from being a Roma.😁
4
Ebay are in with the chink thieves MNC, I fucking hate Ebay.
20p in the swear box there!
2
Apart from the scammers, there are some right idiots e,g people who sell an item of furniture and don’t give the dimensions or people who upload photos that are so dark you can’t see the thing they are trying to sell. Priceless mongs.

Is this the site for 1950s film directors?

I had a ww2 British flying jacket. My grandfather liberated it from a dead RAF bomber crew member ( true story ) It had shrapnel holes in the shoulder. Anyway I loved that jacket cool as feck and looked the business. Until my ex girlfriend thought it looked tatty and threw it away without me knowing. Cunting hell bitch !!!. 20 years on and I still miss me jacket.. But I don’t miss her.
5
Totally agree with this nomination. Once bitten, twice shy. I bought something and received my money back but not the overseas postage. Complained to EBAY and they did the “nuffink we can do” bollox. Never again. I’d love to say that for all internet purchases. Scamming cunts.
5
I’ve had this sort of shit happen too. You check as far as you can and are convinced it’s a bona fide uk seller; then the goods turn up from China and they’re fake shit that you would leave on the shelf at a charity shop and worse. eBay know about it. So do amazon. They do nothing to stop it.
Telling Huawei to fuck off is a good start to a big job that needs doing double quick time.
China? Cunts more like.
