This should be a cunting for me, but I’m not sure if a cunter can cunt himself so I suppose the nominee has to be the BBC again. Like a cunt, I erroneously believed that a program on Radio 4 this evening called “Living with the Empire” (Monday 8th October 2000 hrs) might give a balanced, objective narrative on what made the UK one of the richest countries on Earth. My first mistake was to disregard the fact that the presenter was called Kwasi. Regardless, I listened on until, five minutes later, I had to switch the crap off because my piss was steaming through the escape valve. It took that long before the grief mongering about the slave trade began to emanate from the wireless.

Why can’t they just give it a rest? We get on with Japanese or Germans because we are able to forgive and move on. Likewise, we no longer need Hadrian’s Wall because the English disagreement with the Scots was settled on Culloden moor in 1746. Only the SNP loonies remind us of this. Nobody else gives a SHITE! But, no, blambos need to go on about slavery and oppression ad infinitum, overlooking, of course, that African chiefs were more than willing to help slave traders “decrease the surplus population”.       • Sorry Mr Fiddler, but that is a load of bollocks. Bloody Sunday was a dark episode in the history of the parachute regiment and an apology completely warranted. Everyday, good Irish people were treated like shit during the troubles and anybody who says otherwise is an uneducated, bigoted cunt, and Bloody Sunday was the most high profile incident of this treatment.
        And the timing of Cameron’s apology was important, as this was a fairly recent event and still in living memory for some people (unlike the slave trade), it helps smooth over any remaining divisions and bitterness. It helps people to forgive and move on.

I was watching a black lady on Fox News a few weeks back and she said if the black lives matter lot and black members of Antifa put as much effort and veracity into a career as they do into protesting an issue which hasn’t been relevant since the 1980’s then they could be CEOs, Senators or even Presidents by now.

    She also said that it was “disgusting” that Democrats felt that black members of their electorate needed “special treatment” (positive discrimination here in blighty) in order to compete rather than based purely on their own ability and merit.

    She said that this “not as good as white people, so let’s give them a hand up” condescension is a far worse form of racism because it inherently implies that black people are NOT equal.

    His remarks came on the heels of a tweet published by Her Majesty’s Treasury, which revealed that British taxpayers were paying off slavery debt, the compensation afforded to former slaveowners, until 2015.

    Speaking at a conference organized by the Center for Reparations Research, Beckles called the British government “immoral ” for denying reparations to Caribbean communities and refusing to engage on the present-day legacies of chattel slavery in the western hemisphere.

    “For me it is the greatest act of political immorality, to be told consistently and persistently to put this in the past and yet Her Majesty’s Treasury has released the relevant information to suggest that it is just two years ago that this bond was being repaid,” Beckles said.

    In 2015, the Jamaican House of Parliament welcomed former British Prime Minister David Cameron, who, during his speech, said people from the Caribbean should “move on” from slavery, effectively ending their quest for reparations, Loop Jamaica reports.

    In response to Cameron’s comments, Beckles said the former prime minister must have been fully aware that the loan used to compensate British slave owners was still being paid by living British citizens

The Ottomans took the strongest eldest male child from Christian families, forced them to convert to Islam then trained them to administer the Empire. The slaves were in charge as it were. I think it says something about the religion of Mohammad; how Islamic culture can develop in very strange ways. They trained slaves to rule over them.

  19. Point of correction, the English ‘disagreement’ with the Scots was resolved by the act of union in 1707. The battle you refer to was part of the later Jacobite rising ( those who wished to restore the Stuarts to the British throne) which had supporters in both countries and was essentially the second part of the Battle of the Boyne which had occurred in 1690 . The British army which defeated the Jacobites at Culloden contained many lowland Scots and can by no means be described as soley ‘English’.

    • You are quite right, APC, the ’45 uprising wasn’t about the Scots v the English. I get the impression that lowland Scots were thoroughly sick of the Jacobean. By the time the ’45 occurred, southern Scotland was wealthy and cultured. The barbaric north was a pain in the arse to them. Scottish nationalists bang on about Culloden, but at least it brought decent roads and bridges to the Highlands.
