For want of a better title, I declare Unreliable British History a complete cunt.
As evidenced by the story of Britain’s first black woman who, surprise, surprise, turns out not to have been black at all.
‘The Beachy Head Lady’, discovered in a basement in 2012, had undergone ‘scientific’ analysis shortly after, and in a desperate attempt at clutching at straws, it was decided she was of African descent.
Cue woke historians claiming that Roman Britain was like an episode of Desmond’s and David Olusoga including her in one of his divisive, race baiting documentaries.
Those gullible, woke cunts at the BBC even erected a blue plaque in her honour.
Now it turns out, thanks to DNA testing, that it was all pie in the sky.
And it’s not just this episode that makes you sceptical.
I recently started reading Max Hastings story of Operation Biting in WW2, and of the major figures in the book is Lord Louis Mountbatten.
According to Hastings, the much revered historian, suggestions that Mountbatten was homosexual (he fails to mention allegations of kiddie fiddling) were simply wide of the mark.
Really?
Like many, I love history, but I’m now doubting more or less everything I see or hear nowadays.

Yes, the BBC’s beloved “historian”, Olusoga, promoted the Beachy Head woman nonsense. That ludicrous narrative being of a piece with the equally deranged idea that the uninvited Windrush invaders built modern Britain.
At every turn, reality and common sense are the enemies of these people. The fact that this is and (almost) always has been a white country is painful to them. But it would be, wouldn’t it? Because they are entitled and narcissistic. Enabled well beyond what their merits indicate by fifth column, self loathing, liberal and Marxist sewage.
Unfortunately, the study of history has, like most things, including science, been completely infiltrated and steered in an ideological direction. You are not going to be published as an author of history unless you promote narratives that are in accordance with the regime. It is as simple as that.
Anything from the past 50 years, at least, but especially more recently, has this problem. Worse still, if you go against the regime too much, you can find yourself being cancelled and ruined, regardless of what your merits may be. See David Starkey. Or worse still, imprisoned. See David Irving. Even if these people were wrong, as soon as the principle is established that certain lines of inquiry are closed to investigation, then the subject becomes badly tainted, as well as deeply uninteresting in my opinion.
You can’t trust a thing nowadays. It is like Nineteen Eighty Four.
This reminds me of this Titanic documentary I saw last year. They couldn’t stop going on about this black man who was on board with his French wife. Their photograph flashed upon the screen repeatedly. It was even speculated that it was in the dining room where “They may have experienced racism”. I laughed out loud at that one. Of course, there were other people on that ship who had black faces. They were the white lads in the hellish belly of the ship, shovelling coal into furnaces during brutish shifts so the people above them could arrive at their destination on time. Most of them would have been the first to be trapped and drowned. But the programme makers weren’t very interested in them.

I have also noticed the obsession with shoehorning homosexuality into the equation, or slavishly promoting feminist principles, which probably didn’t even enter the minds of most people in the past.
