Thing is, Captain, Carsley is like too many cunts in the modern game. And especially the English one.
There he is, before his first game. ‘Explaining’ why he won’t sing the national anthem. First of all, who needs to know this? And second, who bloody cares?
Many – way too many – football figures now have a ridiculous sense of self importance. They see themselves as political and social thinkers and are always shooting their mouths off on social media. Southgate and that cunt Rashford being two of the worst recent offenders. And if it isn’t current players and managers, then it’s ex- players. The unholy trinity of Lineker, Shearer and Richards (and their court jester, Ian Wright) being a glaring example.
Footballers and managers were never known for their intelligence. OK, there was always the odd one (Shankly, Clough, Cruyff, Cantona). But now they all think they are Albert Einstein crossed with the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, And far too many of them concentrate on the media and virtue signalng than they do at actually playing or managing. And it seems Carsley is just another in a long, smug and self satisfied line.

I think England will do well with Lee Carsley at the helm.
Not that I have the time of day for the England national team and would prefer to see the cunts lose every game they play.
Their attitude and behaviour over George Floyd and the rainbow armband bollocks in Qatar was embarrassing.
International football is utterly unwatchable dross and is losing its identity and relevance with every passing year or each major tournament.
International football is now more like a competition to see which western nation has naturalised the best or quickest Africans or has suffered/experienced the biggest population change due to mass immigration.
The French football team is a humiliation ritual to the ethnic and cultural French and the England team isn’t far behind. Or the Dutch or rather bizarrely – the Irish.

Which brings me back to Carsley.
Carsley seems more tactically astute than Wokegate, has coached at the youth levels, enjoyed success (a rarity) and continuity might just be the answer instead of choosing what is deemed to to be the biggest name.
Plus we have a continuous supply line of fast young Africans taking up the places in the youth teams who are all following their tactical orders dutifully.
As for the national anthem – I’ve watched old classic England matches from yesteryear and the national anthem used to be impeccably observed but there wasn’t much singing going on from what I could make out.
I think the anthem singing and fake patriotic fervour is maybe a more recent thing and more’s the point – God Save the King ?? Oh please do fuck off.
