Similar situation to me. My Reform candidate was booted out of the party and nobody else was suitable; bloody Labour, Green, 2 weirdos, Limp Dummies and Conservatives.
In the end I drank 7 glasses of wine and decided not to vote. Limp Dumbs will get in here anyway, though I do feel bad that I should’ve voted by putting NONE on the ballot form, because of suffrage and that a ballot destroyed does get counted in some way. Fuck them all.

I hope you spotted the references to the huge quantity of “missing” mail-in votes in this fine thread today. Comments about its dodginess, etc. And yet when this was brought up concerning the 2020 US election, many on here were shooting down any possible connection to election fraud, tampering, interference or general election shenanigans. Makes you chuckle doesn’t it?
And if anyone cares, if I’d voted today I would have backed Big Nige. He’s playing the long game for the election after this one. Who knows, I might be living back in the UK by then (fuck I hope not). Please, please, please let the uni-party crap be over soon.
In other news, I’ve been pondering splurging on a Staccato CS or C to replace my Springfield 1911 EMP. Been having a hard time with FTF with my EMP. It’s already been back to Springfield once and the problem has not been eradicated. My thought process being trade the EMP, replace it with a Staccato and say goodbye to malfunctions. Any thoughts, General?

I’ve owned 2 Springfield 1911’s and NEVER had a problem with either.
The first was a Stripped out standard (Military) base model with a parkerized finish and fed everything I put through it without a malfunction. Including…and I don’t think these are still available…the OLD CCI 200gr hollow points aka the flying ashcan.
My Colt 1911 was a different story. That picky bitch (and it did have modifications) only ate high grade, top notch ammo.
The EMP is very similar to the Springfield Custom Shop Model 1911 I have now so I think that’s a good choice.
As for election Fraud it is rampant in the States as you well know. Those who laugh simply don’t know.

I bought the EMP primarily for EDC, which up to this point I’ve never actually done. Having moved state a little while ago, I’m still waiting for my new CCL to come through. But the point is, if I ever had to draw, I need to know for certainty the pistol would go bang. I’ve completely lost confidence in the EMP to the point of considering the massively expensive Staccato upgrade. Might need to sneak in a crafty purchase when the Mrs. isn’t looking.
Anyway, did you enjoy the presidential debate the other evening? I’ve only watched clips and highlights, but gosh that was funny. In a sad and tragic kind of way. I’m sure you’ve kept up with the UK election and are aware of the Channel 4 undercover Reform Party stitch up operation. It’s very sad that the UK establishment now appears to be following America’s lead in underhand subterfuge. How long will it be before attempts are made to jail Nigel Farage on trumped up (see what I did there?) charges?

If I remember correctly most of the EMPs are 9mm. Is yours 9mm or .45 ACP?
The problem is John Browning designed the 1911 for .45 and the ACP cartridge was built around it. They function well with that round but not always with 9mm or even .38 Super…if you can still one in .38 Super.
The 9mm is best in (what we called) the Browning Hi-Power. It was used to great effect by British Airborne troops in WWII and later by the SAS.

Hi General –
Yes, the EMPs are based upon the 1911 design but built around the 9mm cartridge with several custom parts to make the most of that size round. 45 ACP is obviously the original, but as you know comes with a capacity issue.
I would like a 1911 chambered in 45 ACP just for fun down the range. Need to fix my EDC issue first though. I am tempted by the Staccato CS.
