Nostalgia

A few Nostalgic glamour pics for Thomas to peruse C.A.
is it a cunt, or not?

Now I’m all for it..
You might not be..

OK I’m out with a long time friend for a drink.
The drinks are flowing, and conversation turns to early evening tv as a child..
And what pops up..

The water margin?
A show that involved Japanese people on horses riding up and down with flags..

But in the day of 3 tv channels it was marvellous..
I had know idea what was happening?

Though I did prefer monkey..

So release your nostalgia for all to share.

  1. Nostalgia is all we’ve got now

The football I loved is all in the past. Travellling the country with Doc’s Red Army.
The 80s with Robbo and Big Ron. The Fergie and Cantona years.

Films are now shit. No more classics like 2001: A Space Odyssey, Planet of the Apes, Bullitt, Jaws, Live and Let Die, Duel, Towering Inferno,Rocky, Superman.

Radio was better then. Stewpot, Tommy Vance, Annie Nightingale, Peely.
And the Piccadilly greats… Mike Sweeney, Dave Ward, Phil Wood.

And don’t me started on music. From greats like Free. Faces, Deep Purple, The Who, Moody Blues, Badfinger, ELO, Zeppelin, and Thin Lizzy to crap like Ed Sheercunt, Fatty Capaldi and Titless Swift.

  2. Went to the Mayfair cinema in Whitefield, Manchester.
It was the only pictures then with a bar.

They were showing The Towering Inferno and several Coronation Street stars turned up. Funny thing was, none of then spoke to or sat with each other.

Only Julie Goodyear (Bet Lynch) and Anne Kirkbride (Deidre Langton) sat together and didn’t act like untouchable cunts. Needless to say, I was a bit cocky and I tried to flirt with both. Anne had a great sense of humour and Julie said ‘when you’re old enogh, cock’ with a wink (I said ‘wink) thrown in. They were both sound as a pound.

Imagine two soap starlets doing that now? I can’t.

  3. FIFA has made changes to further protect female footballers and coaches during and after pregnancy, as well as in non-biological motherhood.

Fuck me. From Best Law and Charlton to this.

    The game is buggered.

  4. Miss the smell of real creosote on a summers day.

  5. Personally, I would say Nostalgia has gone from being a side hustle to being a full on salve that is necessary to aid functioning in this world where every simple sci fi dystopia is racing to be realized first.

I was born in the 80s, but raised in the 90s. Things I look back on are:

*The “mature” approach to storytelling in cartoons of the 90s (see Batman the animated series).

*movies that used practical effects instead of heavily relying on CGI

*A variety of new and exciting single player video games that were not glorified attempts at cyber addiction and gambling

    *NO WOKENESS!
