Have you all heard about the small budget indie film ‘Sound of Freedom’? Made by the tiny Angel Studio, it stars Jim Caviezel as a US government agent who sets out to save some kids from vicious child smugglers in Columbia.

This film is based on the true story of agent Tim Ballard, and attempts to dish the dirt on a filthy trade that nets foul child traffickers tens of billions every year. A truly worthy film swimming against a tide of woke Hollywood dross by the sound of it. What’s not to like?

Well for some reason, the lefty libs in the States are up in arms about it. I understand that Disney (say no more) formerly owned the film, and blocked its release for years. I wonder why? To make matters worse for Disneycunt, ‘Sound of Freedom’ has been kicking the ass of ‘Indy and the Dial of Dysentery’ at the box office. Oh the joy…

The film’s not even out here yet, but naturally our own, our very own lefty comic The Groaniad couldn’t wait to sing the tune of the shit left media across the pond. The nation’s favourite toilet paper reckons that the film’s ‘paranoid’. It’s all part of some fantastical ultra right wing conspiracy, with The Groaniad going out of its way to launch a personal attack the film’s star Caviezel and the production team.

But here’s a thought for The Grauniad. Maybe the reason for the film’s success is just that it tells a darn important story that needs to be told in a way that audiences can relate to, and the punters flocking to see it are telling Hollywood and its media mouthpieces to stick their woke agenda crap up their arses. The wife and I are really looking forward to seeing it, and I hope you’ll all give it a chance too.

As for The Guardian, well it’s just an arsewipe rag made by cunts, for cunts.

    • Even the Telegraph has been having a pop at the film. I am no good at links but there’s an article about it on Page 82 of the online version of the DT. Is it any surprise that the Telegraph is in such financial shit when they alienate their traditional readers?
      The film was shot in 2018 so it would have been reasonable to expect release 4 or 5 years ago. Against a budget of $15 million to make the film, it has grossed $127 million. It must be saying something most people believe is right.

    They aren’t happy are they? Although it’s not abundantly clear why.
    Is it that the villains aren’t white imperialists?
    They also seem to have an issue with the baddies being referred to as rebels.

    My mind was then immediately made up – I’m going to watch this film once it comes out here. So job done.

    Interesting that The Guardian and the likes weren’t quite so negative about “Cuties” when that was released a while back.

    I imagine Joe Biden has been through as many boxes of Kleenex as he has dollars that he’s sent to Ukraine, after purchasing his copy of Cuties.

  18. Just watched Neil Oliver,s piece on Ron’s Yuotube link and unlike the Guardian’s baffling rant I found it crystal clear and I could identify completely with the point he is making. If you haven’t seen it yet I would urge you to invest fifteen minutes of your life in doing so.

    I thought about reading the Grauniad article but thought better of it – no wish to sick up over my toast! You are a total hero for reading it for me and giving me the gist.

    As for the film, it will make a change from the Disney puke that is on offer at 9 out of ten multiplex screens these days. Will definitely look out for it.

    PS Has anyone else noticed that you can no longer get original Coke/Pepsi/7Up from cinema kiosks? I asked some dippy bint why they only offered diet drinks while at the same time filling kids with revolting sweets, chocolate, hot dogs and nachos. A bit hypocritical?     The ‘problem’ with this film for the media is that the hero (a real life one it seems) is a straight, white male. Or are they saying it’s bullshit? I don’t know anything about the story, not something the media would cover really, is it? (a honky hero saving kids from Hispanic Joe *onces.)

    Might watch it, but the subject matter might be a bit too dark for me tbh.

However, it seems a bit odd to me that it’s being championed by so many American Christians who are revelling in the fact that it’s thumping its competitors at the cinema. If these Christians cared so much about preventing kíd-fiddling, there is a rather obvious target on which they could focus: their own priests/ pastors/ Sunday school teachers/ youth pastors et cetera.

    I’m always on the lookout for cuntings that can offer something on the lighter side, but I really felt that this was something that had to be said.

    The foul child trafficking ‘trade’ is worth multi billions every year, and the proceeds are rivalling those of the drug trade. As Caviezel has pointed out, a dose of crack can only be sold once, but a child can be sold many times.

    What I find really disturbing about this whole matter isn’t just the hostility of lefties towards a film whose objective you’d think they’d espouse. It’s the deafening silence from the usual Hollywood glitterati gobshites who are usually only too keen to lecture us on any subject from the inequities of Trump, to diversity and climate change. Where are you Streep? Where are you De Niro and the rest of the big mouths? What a fucking cesspit Hollywood really is.

    **One small correction if I may. I say in the nom that the film was made by Angel Studios, when it’s being distributed by them on behalf of the indy makers who bought the rights back from Disney.

  29. The latest box-office figure for ‘Sound of Freedom’ is a take of $134m, based on a production budget of only $14.5m. (I believe the take is only for US theatres so far; be interesting to see what it does globally).

    This is incredible for a film with virtually no publicity budget, but is going mainly by ‘word of mouth’.
