I´ve recently been watching a Netflix series on Malcom X.

I am old enough to remember when he was killed and I even read his “autobiography” when I was a teenager. (The book was actually ghost written by Alex Haley who went on to make a mint with “Roots”, a fantasy account of a slave called Kunta Kinti. No, I swear I did not invent this cuntish-sounding name.)

Everybody knows that Malcom X was killed on the orders of the leader of the Black Muslims, a corrupt scumbag called Elijah Muhammad whose real name was Robert Poole and whose father was a Baptist preacher.

However, the series blames with little proof the white establishment for being behind the murder.

Both X, a mixed-race guy with red hair born Malcolm Little, and Poole, a Chinese-looking character also of mixed race, were jailbirds, but Netflix does not dwell on these inconvenient aspects. Nor does it wonder why they changed their Christian/white names to the names of Arab Muslims who were the main slave traders at the time.

God really is great when it comes to whitewashing the truth.

  1. Admins: are you aware of any issues with comments? On quite a few noms recently it’ll say x number of comments but I can only see a much smaller number.

    • If you’re using an iPhone it will only display the latest comments and you’ll need to click on older comments, which is fine but wasn’t displaying on my phone for weeks.

  6. I actually did my undergraduate dissertation on this guy. Fascinating character. To be fair to him he did change his ways towards the end of his life and started moving away from his more extremist views and rhetoric, which is partly why the Nation of Islam wanted him killed.

  7. Thanks for posting this Mr Polly, it’ll save me having to watch the rubbish.
    It’s in keeping with the current vogue manipulation of historical facts to portray white people / heterosexuals / patriots * as pure evil.
    Given the fact that people are being questioned by police now, over daring to uphold scientific fact that men can not be women, I think we’ll have to put up with a lot more of this sort of shit before it eventually eats itself.

    I hope there will be some sane people left when the time comes. It’s starting to drive me round the bend.
