I don’t know about anybody else, but at no point was I under the impression that I was participating in an advisory referendum, and nothing in the months leading up to it, or any if the literature that was sent to me, at my expense, said fuck all about it being ‘advisory’.

I used to be an adviser! I used to advise people about the best techniques to prolong their lives in the given situation, once they had got the hang of that I advised them on how to reduce the lifespan on those causing the problem in the first place.
However I have never been a lawyer and strongly suspect that they are doing this for financial gain and not personal interest.
My free of charge advice would be that by taking this stance you are opening yourselves up to the wrath and ridicule of a majority of which a few individuals may be unstable.

In the cunt’s defense though………… by UK law, referenda are indeed advisory as Westminster Parliament ultimately is sovereign in constitutional matters.
But it would certainly be advised that parliament show some professionalism and integrity by abiding by the wishes of the British public (by democratic mandate) and do what we have asked (otherwise, what was the point in a referendum?)
Also, if they do try to fuck us over, it will just prove that western democracy is a sham and that we will need a new civil war led by a new Oliver Cromwell (minus the attempts at Irish/Catholic genocide).
