We’ve received a number of messages via the the contact form saying ‘Why have I been be banned!?!’ Well obviously you haven’t been or you couldn’t have used the comment form.
WordPress seems to have come up with this fucking irritating new trick. Don’t know why. Our ‘fuck off’ filter works on IP address. Using a different IP should let you back in. Sometimes just retrying let’s you back in.
We picked this up because people told us they could get in using their phone instead of their PC – hence different IP address. I got it myself when I used a different proxy. Changed the proxy and got straight back in. Again, different IP address.
Fuck knows how we fix this but you’re definitely not banned. If you were then you couldn’t be reading this and I’d be wasting my time writing it.
Thanks for keeping us informed, Admin. This used to happen to me on another WP site; never resolved but might have been something to do with ISP’s allocating a different IP at every login. Some of the IP’s have been used before by a cunt who got banned. I’d guess if your fuckoff filter is rejecting a lot of, let us say, sockpuppets, that would increase the chances of someone on the same ISP collecting a banned sockpuppet IP. This may be complete rubbish, of course, accepted, and would appreciate better explanation if one emerges.

Just like with most software over the ages, the developers never talk to the QA guys with their upgrades, and therefore when they release new shit it turns out to be quite buggy on certain platforms.
Developers like to justify their income by over-engineering stuff, which looks great in the lab, but a total nightmare for the support desk guys when punters ring in saying “this ain’t working, mofo!”

I have a funny story. A new phone. In the busy phone shop. Anyway when I got outside clicked on ISAC and the ‘fuck off elsewhere’ filter came up.. Panic. Went back inside the shopping centre and clicked again it came on normally but I couldnt post.

Most computer faults can be fixed by switching them off and on again. To be sure pull out the mains lead and leave it for five minutes; some of the PSUs have big capacitors in them.

They have started ‘range banning’ IP addresses over on 4chan/Pol from those using the three network and those companies who resell data plans on the three network.
What’s concerning is that it still lets you go through the motions of typing a post, submitting it then it finally rejects it on completion of one of them captcha things. I sense that they are harvesting posts / data & IP addresses as it has been infiltrated by 77th scum who create
threads repeatedly on controversial topics trying to reel people in.
I doubt VPN offer anonymity / protection from posts being viewed but maybe the answer in getting around some software systems
