Kiss are cunts…
Their music is mediocre at best but it’s not like they (or their fans apparently) care… Kiss are in it for the money and pussy… Kiss is a franchise and Gene Simmons is probably the only so-called rock star to be open about the only true motive why he’s part of it: business…. I applaud Mr. Simmons for his honesty but he’s still a ridiculous cunt..
Equally stupid as his music are his so-called political views…

Kiss are fucking shit. Those cunts that make Family Guy (a once-funny cartoon) worship them. Kiss my arse more like.

It bothers me, retards like KISS were able to to make billions off shitty songs like Rock N Roll All Night Long (Party EveryDay) The Best Player in the band was the original guitarist Ace Frelehy but he is no Allan’s Holdsworth or Clapton or David Gilmour for that matter. But You Know what they say the best music goes unlistened to. KISS Is Music for stupid people by Stupid people . Here is some really good music https://youtu.be/BT5DSvDb9o4 by The Pretty Things Performing SF Sorrow in its entirety with a Few special guests.. Arthur Brown narrating the Story with David Gilmour helping out on Guitar what more could you ask for? needless to say its the best concert I’ve seen In a Long Fucking time. Also SF Sorrow is the 1st concept rock opera BEFORE The Who’s Tommy regardless of what Pete Townsend Said about not having any influence on him. Enjoy or Don’t

Pete Townshend is God and therefore couldn’t lie. David Gilmour used to be God but then fell from Dunmanifestin when he publicly supported that scum, cunt step son of his after the indulged little cunt defaced and defiled WW2 memorials. After that, he became just a guitarist in Pink Floyd. As for Rock Opera, whilst The Wall is undoubtedly sublime, Quadrophenia trumps’em all. And KISS? The commercial genius of them is that they are Rock SOAP Opera.

Did Townsend ever get round to writing that book ?

iorek Byrnison@ What’s worse is that Gilmour thought by having Pete Townsend on his 2nd album would make it gold there’s a few good songs on it but it doesn’t hold up well I always saw gilmour more as a really good singer/Guitarist but someone who’s not so good as a song writer , he is also a great producer as documented on Syd’s Barret’s 1st & 2nd Solo Albums I think Gilmour feels ill will towards those albums because they turned out so fucking good lol not a bad song on them. As for Quadrophenia its a good album/Film but think it was overhyped(my opinion) ,Just Watch SF Sorrow And you will know why I feel ill will towards Townsend supposedly ‘inventing’ the rock opera genre. Taking Alot of elements from SF Sorrow and Re-packaging it. Remember SF Sorrow never had advertisements or anything to support it, it still remains an unknown album among the masses.

SF Sorrow was fantastic (Phil May is a great singer)… Same goes for The Small Faces and Ogden’s Nut Gone Flake… Tommy is also great (although the Ken Russell film is crap). but my favourite is Who’s Next… Moon and the Ox at the height of their powers as a rhythm section…
Without Barrett (and later Waters) the Gilmour led Floyd were very slick and all that, but there was no spark, no firepower… Roger Waters himself called the Division Bell era Floyd a ‘Pretty fair forgery…’ And he was right… Can you really have Floyd without Roger or Syd? Imagine Zeppelin without Robert and Jimmy…

about his kiddy fiddling exploits, no not yet

I agree Norm DB was a solo album basically, small faces? I’ll have to check that out haven’t heard of it , Don’t get me started on Tommy the film it was like watching a bad acid trip nightmare with pedo Uncle Ernie (Keith Moon), a filthy, alcoholic child molester. Tina Turner as a prostitute dealing in LSD, It was a really stupid movie to say the least with a shitty plot.

I reckon all the rock opera films are crap including Quadrophenia & The Wall. Aural concepts are like books, you visualise the characters and situations behind your eyelids, so having a commercially orientated Director produce an abridged version on screen is never really going to work. I can’t comment on SF Sorrow as never come across it but I will do some investigating….. I profoundly disagree about Barrett & Waters though Norman. Whilst Syd was undoubtedly creative, and Waters’ lyrical erudition is not in question, Barrett clearly didn’t have the personality or self discipline to substantiate and sustain the behemoth that Floyd would become and Waters mental state was equally fragile as demonstrated in The Wall & Final Cut, the latter of which, although a great piece of work is NOT a Floyd album, it is a catalogued mental breakdown dressed in a maelstrom of political bile & malevolence and is the schism which saw the end of the original line up and broke the normally sanguine Richard Wright, causing him to dub the album ‘The Roger Waters’ Roadshow’. The reality is that David Gilmour is the anchor about which PF would ride out the ebb and flow of the musical tides over the next decades. Water’s leaving was actually fortuitous for the longevity of the band, and Gilmour’s real influence and prowess, both as musician and songwriter is finally brought to the fore. Roger Waters was never going to have anything positive to say about anything that the band did following his demise, but the reality is that Floyd went from strength to strength, particularly with A Momentary Lapse of Reason and the live counterpart A Delicate Sound of Thunder. I was unfortunate enough to be given a ticket to see Roger Waters perform The Wall at Wembley, I think last year, or year before? (I honestly can’t remember, it was so unmemorable…). It was dire. His political bigotry and posturing and his persistent mewling about the war is now so tiresome, that I, along with many others, simply couldn’t stay and watch it, so we voted with our feet, and left. I thought I was going to see a concert but what actually confronted me was an aged propagandist who, if he took the time to stop preaching, would find that nobody is actually listening anymore. As the globally omnipotent Take That discovered, sometimes you don’t need the sum of the parts to make up the whole, if the wheel that comes off is a third wheel then maybe all parties are actually better off. All that said, I still think Gilmour is a cunt for supporting that odious little oik, scum, student, shit-pot, toe rag, lowlife, indulged step-son of his, and whilst this highbrow diversion into the minutae of popular culture has been a welcome and refreshing distraction I feel it only pertinent to point out that YOU ARE ALL CUNTS!!!!!!!!

Long post mate BTW “Waters mental state” ? what are you going on about? waters carried the band for 5 albums. He was tired of the members not contributing close to fuck all , and they were too busy playing racket ball and drinking tea and eating biscuits. Also when Roger left, Pink left and floyd (gilmour) remains, even though division bell had a few good songs it wasn’t floyd, it had a alot of shit on it Endless River was basically division bell Pt. 2 although bit better And the wall was a good film . Why do I even bother with this childish conversation derailing the thread with petty squabbles I have games to play.
