Golf is not my cup of tea but this gets my fucking goat. Yet Another female sportswoman moaning that their male counterparts earn loads more than them. I’m sure The woman is a brilliant golfer and talented beyond belief and has clearly spent hours and hours honing her talents and she deserves her rewards. But It’s simple Georgia, if you want to be the “champion golfer of the year” enter the men’s tour, win a load of tournaments and win a major, nobody is stopping you. Ask for a couple of wildcards into some male tournaments (the sponsors will be gagging for it) and go win them and walk off with the prize money. It’s what the men do. If you want equality in sport then let men play on the women’s tour. Until you do that please shut the fuck up about equality.

Surely sport – at least real sports with objective scoring systems rather than eminently corruptible judges – is the ultimate meritocracy? If you score the most goals, run the fastest time or complete a round in the fewest strokes you are the winner. Unlike wanky ‘honours’ no-one can say you aren’t the Olympic champion or league winner. Their argument is null and void to be honest, you don’t hear many male professional rugby players protesting about how much male footballers earn. The gulf between them is huge, but it’s because of popularity, wimmins sports aren’t popular, (just like men’s rugby is nowhere near as popular as men’s football) because wimmin, by and large, don’t watch sports. Men turn out in their thousands to watch mens football, don’t blame successful men for being unsuccessful women. If a woman’s football team can consistently get crowds of 20,000 fans per week turning up, then there’s some justification for being paid the same, but the standards of most professional wimmins sport is no where near the standard of men’s. End of.

Unfortunately, as a very knowledgeable golfer, the lack of money in the LET (Ladies European Tour) in particular, is down to mismanagement and failure of promotion within their organisation.
The LET had just 11 tournaments last year whereas the LPGA had almost a full year’s schedule with an average winning purse 3-4 times that of the LET events.
Secondly, the monies accrued are based on demand for the sport in question.
There is a far greater appetite for men’s USPGA Tour golf than their is men’s European Tour golf. The average US PGA event winning purse generally being on average well in excess of $1 million dollars whereas the European Tour it’s around €400 thousand Euro mark.
The men earn more than the ladies because more people wish to watch men do this sport more than women. That attracts bigger sponsors, that attracts more money and that attracts higher amounts for TV rights to cover it.
There is no right or wrong, good or bad, or misogyny here, it’s just pure economics: build a better mousetrap and the world will beat a path to your door!
The demise of the LET has nothing to do with the disparity of winnings between men and women and everything to do with piss poor management.
I enjoy watching ladies golf because – as a club golfer – the tour ladies on average hit it the same distances that we do and I can learn far more from how they approach courses than I could from watching blokes hitting it an eye-watering 340yds from the tee on every hole.

The reasons I voted to Leave were numerous, but mainly on the point of unchecked mass immigration from our Eastern Europe. It appears to me that matter of immigration still remains the elephant in the room, rarely discussed or mentioned in debates, nor considered in any negotiations.
The only way the referendum can be respected is for us to leave the EU. If not whatever is achieved is a total betrayal of the referendum result, the last two and a half years being a complete waste of everyone’s time.
Our small town (and many other towns in the UK) are being turned into violent and unsafe shitholes, with the nationalities of the perpetrators being kept hidden. The police are struggling badly with the increase in crime due to the underfunding by May and the Tory cunts, and locallly born children are unable to get into their local schools due to underfunding by May and the Tory cunts, and we now cannot get into our local GP immediately as we could before.
I hate May and the Tories for how they have lied to everyone, working hand in glove with the enemy against the British people.
Unfortunately a leadership challenge makes fuck all difference to what has happened up to now, and what will happen going forward.

When the womens tour and majors can demand the same TV coverage as the mens tour then they will generate better prize money. Simple.
There are some sports where women cannot compete with men due to lack of strength but there are a few where they could, Golf is one, its accuracy more than power (i know that men can drive further but distance is useless with accuracy) snooker, darts, archery, shooting, and probably more,
