The third runway

heathrow-runway

So the government will ‘Study carefully” the recent report into extra airport capacity that recommends a third runway at Heathrow…

No careful study required Mr Cameron. Surely you recall that cast iron promise YOU made three years ago… ”No ifs, no buts, there will be no third runway at Heathrow”…Or is that like the promise the Lib Dems made on tuition fees?

How do you know when a politician is lying?…You can see their lips move.

How do you know if a politician is a cunt?…They’re a politician.

  1. I can’t see Heathrow expansion happening – not with the constituencies of Boris, Theresa May, Philip Hammond and Justine Greening all likely to be severely affected. Political survival is always prioritised over any other consideration.

  2. Heathrow was always the wrong place for Britain’s main International airport. Hemmed-in and impossible for expansion where it is.

Can’t even build spacious passenger terminals on it let alone adding more take-off and landing runways. It is a shithole, always cramped for space airport. Demolish the fucking place and sell the prime real estate land to the private developers to create other industry and residential living.

Prime cunt minister Cameron and his ilk have no pride for having a state of the art jewel in the crown main British international airport. Go east of London to the vast and empty Thames river estuary area and build a super international airport we can all be proud of. Say fuck to the environmentalist whiners who want to save the birds and frogs that inhabit the estary marsh. The animals will naturally move and migrate further south when the builders arrive – so what’s the fucking fuss? Build an airport that will be a wonder of the world! With ten runways for future capacity, all with an underground heating system to ensure winter ice and snow causing cancellations and delays is a thing of the past.

What about the cost? you whinge. Well, one hectare of Heathrow land is now so valuable as prime space it will raise enough to buy one new runway for a new airport. And Heathrow airport has an area of 1225 hectares.

  3. I’m with Fred on this. The third runway won’t happen at Heathrow. Too many powerful people stand to lose greatly if that runway is built there.

  4. Can I suggest that as the Third Runway is proving so controversial that they should just abandon any plans to build it and mover straight to the Fourth Runway instead.
